This is research I had looked into for the 1930s brief, which was to create a computer game cover from research into a stylistic cover that would follow the feeling of the research through to the final product.
I wanted to use the art deco styling but in a contemporary way, I found solace in many of the superhero and computer game, art deco crossovers.
I checked out recurring typefaces and styles and brought them forward to create my cover.
I really liked this brief. The plan was to incorporate the images of faces without cluttering up the page. I felt this was a good plan. Plus using Herb Lubalin's typeface serif gothic helped to set the shape of the poster.
