Katsuki is obsessed with Izuku’s curls.

Izuku says they’re messy/unkempt because that’s what everyone else always said. He even grew up trying to brush them out or outright straighten them with a flat iron because he was sick of the bullying he got from his peers.

For a while, Katsuki was among those people, but as they got older, Izuku started to learn how to care properly for his curls, and as a result, Katsuki realized just how fucking pretty Izuku’s hair really is.

He loves how soft they look in the sunlight, how they perfectly frame his freckled face. He’ll sometimes catch Izuku playing absentmindedly with his curls when he’s studying or otherwise just needing something to fidget with.

Eventually, once they start dating, he gets the courage to touch them. He loves how they bounce when he’s running his hands through the locks, how thick and perfectly round each curl is pinched between his fingers.

Izuku is still self conscious about his curls, mumbling self deprecating words as Katsuki plays with his hair while they’re lying in bed together.

“It’s so frizzy,” Izuku sighs. “Your hair is so perfect Kacchan, I wish mine looked more like yours.”

Perfect? More like bland.

He never understood people who called Izuku plain looking—even when he was bullying him, he never thought the kid he was picking on was plain.

His freckles are like kisses from the sun, eyes a beautiful shade of emerald, and his hair is far more interesting to look at compared to their peers. Even the way it flutters within a breeze so unique and lovely.

Katsuki presses a kiss into his hair, taking in the smell of his shampoo—it was a combination of green apple and another fruity scent he couldn’t put his finger on.

“It’s beautiful,” he whispers, taking pleasure in the way Izuku’s voice hitches. “Just like you.”

Izuku groans, burying his face into Katsuki’s neck.

“And I’m the sap?”
