Hi guys, still alive. Just keeping myself busy with my real-job and running a family. Still active on Instagram as well @eightyfour for those who may not know. I’ve had a few great opportunities come my way this year, you can see some of it on my personal website if you’re curious.

Caught this sunset on Monday of last week, wouldn’t be surprised if these were rainbands from Hurricane Harvey pushing north to my neck of the woods of Dallas, TX. Such beauty but a sad reminder of the tragic events that unfolded last weekend.

Super proud to be a Texan and too see everyone in the Lonestar state pulled together for their fellow South / SE Texans.

Earlier this month I got to attend a private engagement by Crown Royal for their new Vanilla flavor whisky, I’m not really a whisky drinker but the crafted cocktails prepare by our bartenders changed my mind about whisky.

The one that really stood out for me was The Yard Boy I’ve the include recipe for anyone wanting to make this at home.

The Yard Boy**

1.5 oz Crown Royal Vanilla 2 Scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream 3 dashes of Mole Bitters

On top of tasting all of the amazing cocktails we also got educated in the history and the process involved in the new Crown Royal Vanilla.

Looking for places to photograph the city of Dallas while on your staycation? I’ve listed a few places to check out your city.

Reunion Tower provides a 360-Degree Observation Geo-deck from which you can view the city, admission fee is required to go up.

If you want a great view of the sunrise or sunset check out the N Zang Blvd, entry is located near the Greenbriar Bridge. No admission fee

Margaret Hunt Bridge is obviously a must stop, I recommend catching sunset on the Ron Kirk bridge located right next to the M.H. Bridge. Great place for taking photographs of the Margaret Hunt Bridge during the sunset hour or at night for a long exposure. No admission fee

Damn, TEXAS! Today’s sky lit up ahead of the Fourth of July schedule, with all this humidity it sure is making some of these sunsets worth chasing. Took this one today.

Right on the nailed, with all this humidity this Saturday it was a given that we had some strong moisture in air. A few hours before sunset told the wife don’t be surprise if we have a bombass sunset. Sure enough the sky lit up in North Texas.
