When your dad apologizes for almost killing you over a game
I've just realise that I haven't post those things here, lmao
Not really satisfied w those concepts. I'm gonna redes Athena soon.
Little Lady 🦉
I love how when Athena sings “Please reconsider this” she is like fine I’ll turn on the charm. Like she has the charm she just doesn’t like to use it bc it feels silly.
Kronos sighed as his feet touched the surface of the Palace. It was easy bejng here, to be completely honest. All he had to do was make sure none of his other children saw him there, and he could just say Hera requested him. He was sure his daughter wouldn't mind seeing her dear old father again. His eyes locked on the Goddess of Wisdom. Odd, he had heard from Kassandra that she had been eaten (he couldn't be prouder of Zeus for that, by the way.)
"Ah, Metis." The Titan lord called out. He absolutely hated Metis. He could have easily had Zeus under his control during the Titan war if only that bastard woman hadn't kept him in check. If a second war rose, she was for sure the first one on his hit list. "It's been Eons since i've seen you. How have you been!"
“Metis..?” *She turned around. Her scars from her father’s own wrath laid bare.. he was a large man.. she looked around. Her mother wasn’t here..* “Oh! Oh you think.. that keeps happening.”
*She leaned on her spear. Her legs had been hurting terribly with the electricity making its way through her bones and she needed the support from it.* “No, I’m not Metis.. that’s my mother. I’m Athena, goddess of wisdom in war tactics..!” *She said smiling. She didn’t know why but.. he was an oddly comforting god.. large and intimidating but.. comforting? Like her dad but.. scarier..?*
“Yeah no.. uhh.. eldest of Zeus..? Not.. no. Not.. not Metis. I-I can get her though if you wish..?” *She said. She felt like a little kid when they answer the door for strangers.. awkward and nervous..*
"NO. No. Do not worry, I am in no rush to see that Nymph again." Zeus and Metis. Well, he didn't find that completely odd. They spent a lot of time together in the past, back when they thought Kronos couldn't see his cupbearer sneaking off with a strange, purple Nymph. How many grandchildren could he possibly have? He had only heard of 3 so far. Whatever, he'll find out eventually.
"Well, it's a pleasure to finally meet family. Things get complicated when you lose track of time." He smiled, it was cold, but welcoming in its own, strange sort of way. "Eldest of Zeus, you say? Seems i'll have a lot to catch up on later."
“Oh.” *Well now she felt even more nervous. She tried to stand straighter but her hand just shook as it held the spear.* “Family.. yeah..” *The cringe was unbearable for her body, it was like she had folded in on herself..*
*Her feathers moved a bit, nervous twitches. Her palms were sweating and her eyes looked everywhere but his face. She didn’t know how to talk to people, ESPECIALLY family.. She smiled back but he could see how she was so nervous you’d assume she’d melt from the heat of her blood and her heart pounding in her ears.*
“Umm.. yeah I’m.. I’m the only one who can stop and start time that I know of.. so I get losing time tracking..! Ahah..” *She’s trying, okay? She’s not good at this!*
"Hm." He nodded. It seemed someone in his gene pool had indeed inherited his abilities to manipulate time. To be honest, he had assumed that Hades out of all of his children would have that swimming around his genetics (not that Gods really have genetics. It's basically just a game of chance more than anything. Figure of speech, one might say.) But good to know someone in this messed up excuse of a family had the same thing he had.
"I myself would consider a bit of an expert on all things time, generations, and periods." He smiled. Honestly, he couldn't even tell if it was genuine or not. It was kind of new having something in common with someone. "Time itself, at least in its modern meaning, is a creation of mine, you know."
“Yeah uhh.. I-I can umm..” *The sound that followed with her shifting time. An empty place with a large hour glass, showing the stop and start of her time.* “This is what we call “quick thought”.. it basically just.. stops time. At least, until I make it start again..”
“You created it and I can stop and manipulate it.. that’s a nice thing to.. have in common..!” *Was that something in common? Athena why are you turning red? You’re gonna freak your grandfather out and you’re just meeting him. She was so gonna throw up and cry with her anxiety after this..*
*She looked like one of those baby owls, puffed up and her big eyes wouldn’t look at him. Her autism is definitely NOT showing.. why would you think that??*

Does Athena have the owl problem? Their heads turn a lot because they can't actually MOVE their eyes. They're cylinders, not spheres, do the owl evolved to move its head up to 270°
Yes and it's terrifying of you're not expecting it
@irunaki made that joke first (and better)
SHES HEREEE 🎀 HII ATHENA!! i finally made a design for her
this is dumb
*An argument about.. something. How she was protecting Telemachus and trying to make sure he was safe. It then turned to how Athena wasn’t keeping Odessa as safe as she wanted too. Odessa asking whose fault that was. She gripped her polearm tightly. She was trying to explain how she wanted to help. She really did.*
*She finally yelled.* “WHY WONT YOU JUST LET ME PROTECT YOU, PALLAS!?” *She said before she could hear the words leave her lips. She was shaking and using her spear to hold her up. Odessa could see the tears beginning to roll..*
*Even after all the years.. Athena still thought of Pallas.. Athena had been tricked into stabbing Pallas by Zeus and never forgave themself.. she just wanted to keep her mentees safe.. even if everyone on his ship on the floor above heard her yell at “Pallas.”*
-those who know.
Odessa couldn't even properly remember how she'd gotten in this situation. One moment they'd spoken about Telemachus, then she just became... resentful? She supposed that was a decent way to describe it. She was angry. It wasn't Athena's fault (not fully, at least). But all of that old anger she'd felt all of those years ago, back when she was on her own for the first time back when she first left her... or him. It had just come surfacing back.
Odessa had never met Pallas. Her mother had known her back when she was young, but Odessa herself had only heard stories. There was a page in her old childhood stories book, "This is Pallas." It read, "Athena stabbed her with a Spear by manipulation of Zeus." She knew Pallas had to be close to Athena, but she didn't know they were... that close. Gods usually attempt to keep themselves away from mortals.
"Athena..." she muttered, her eyes catching the tears building in her mentor's eyes. She'd only seen Athena cry twice in her lifetime. Gods, this was bad...
“..I’m sorry.. she’s.. she’s been in my head so much lately.. she won’t.. leave me alone..” *She said through light hiccups. She wiped her face with her hands and it seemed so much quieter than usual. She just wanted her Pallas back.*
*She sat down, next to Odessa and let her spear drop to the floor with a thunk. They just sat there, tears rolling down. Like a dam had broken and started a never ending flood. Odessa could see that Athena had shrunk down, only 6’5 over her usual 8-9 ft tall. She looked at her and then started to cry harder. Why did she have to be so similar to Pallas. Her Pallas. The one person who had loved her..*
*She just patted the spot beside her and just waited. Unable to look at Odessa but.. wanting the company. Her company.*
She kept herself next to Athena. Odessa knew Athena wasn't one for physical contact. She'd found that out decades ago, in fact. But she put her hand on the Goddess' shoulder. Athena could pull away, or initiate further contact, completely on her own accord. "She was really important to you, huh?" She frowned, cocking her head to the side. A small part of her felt bad for asking about this, but she knew it was better to ask and allow Athena to be at peace with what happened eventually.
"I'm... sorry, Athena. I know you care, and I know you're trying. I just let my emotions get the best of me." She laughed, this was how their lady argument went too, back in the Cyclops cave. Odessa always let her emotions lead her to the worst choices imaginable. "It's sort of funny if you really think about it."
*She nodded.* “The most important thing in my life.. she was..” *She moved to sit mermaid style and looked away.* “She was my everything.. My best friend, my mentee, my..” *She paused.. she then shook her head. Her snakes looking sad and upset.*
“She was a great friend. Amazing with a sword and spear.” *She smiled keeping her gaze to the floor.* “That day.. she had been so eager to spar. She was so excited and giddy. She even spun and danced me around. When we began it was sunny and warm but a storm started.. he started a storm. A lightning bolt hit close and I looked away only to hear that.. that squishy sound of her heart catching on my spear..”
*Her voice shook and she took deep breaths..* “She asked me to be the “Pallas” Athena.. for her.. and I swore I would be. Because she was everything to me..” *She looked at her and sniffled.* “She had said “looks like Eros isn’t the only one who pierced my heart.. as a joke before she was gone.. she was.. perfect..”
“MOTHER?! MOOMMM!!!” *Athena’s voice rang out. She’d been looking for so long, yelling so loud.. her voice had gone horse. She moved fast, her head hurting as she tried anything to find her, quick thought, flying (even though it was very painful.) she just needed to find her mom..*
“MoTHER PleASE!!” *Her voice cracked, her shield on her back and spear at the ready, using it as a walking stick. Her body shaking as she tried to not cry.* “She’ll be fine Athena.. we know it..” *She said to herself as she tried her quick thought again. She knew she was here somewhere she could feel her.*
“Mom..” *She croaked out holding onto her spear her scars burning as she pushed on, glowing a heady yellow and crackling with electricity.*
-those who know..
Proméno grabbed the basket of apples in his hands as he walked forward to all of the sudden noise he was hearing in his home. His eyes grew wide when he noticed Athena in the area. When was the last time he'd seen the Goddess again? Right, that time he needed to send a scroll to Dionysus. He put the basket down with a deep breath. The last thing he needed to do was piss of his sister the Wisdom Goddess
"Lady Athena." He called out, giving her a small bow out of respect, even if she couldn't see him from where they were standing. "What brings you to these lands?" He obviously knew. He could probably hear Athena yell of her mother all the way from Delphi.
*She was shaking. The burning was hurting. Really bad. Stress made it flair and crackle. She placed her helmet on before looking at him as she held her spear, the pain making her hands shake as she held it.* “I.. I’m looking for Metis.. my father did something wrong. He is going to apologize before I beat that bitch he calls a wife to a pulp..”
*She let a deep breath out. Her face still steadily burning. It looked bad.. really bad.. she didn’t have the energy to cover it with the makeup Aphrodite had given her and showed her how to use. The little white dots betrayed her feelings though as they shook and if he could see her face.. she would probably look like she was going to cry.*
“Please.. I just.. I just started to form my relationship with her.. I just.. I just need to find her.. I need to know she’s safe. Make them apologize for what they’ve done..”
"Ah."
He'd suspected Athena wouldn't exactly be on Zeus' side for what happened to Metis. It was good to know he finally had some confirmation on that theory. He looked back at the hidden door near them. Metis should still be inside the door. It's not like she's been leaving much thanks to the consistent storm that's been going on these last few days. He nodded, flicking his wrist and summoning the basket near him away.
"Alright- I know where Lady Metis is." His gaze followed once again to the door before his eyes rolled back to Athena. "She's honestly braver than I would be if I had been banished from Olympus. Holding up surprisingly well and what-not."
*Her eyes widened. She smiled under that helmet. He could hear the electric sound of her scars and as she smiled.* “You do..?” *Her voice cracked.* “Can I.. see her.. I’ve been looking for.. days..” *She sighed and stepped closer. She was never one to cram into people’s space but.. she needed her mother..*
“Please..” *She asked quietly, her voice finally cracking harshly from her yelling for.. 2? 3 days..?* “I just want to see my mother..”
He nodded once more, his face shifting into something akin to a sad smile. "Of course, Lady Athena." He walked over to the hidden door, opening it silently as he called out to Metis. "Your other daughter has come to see you." He explained, walking away from the door to let the wisdom Goddess out of the house.
Metis hurried outside, her eyes falling on Athena as she took a deep breath. She didn't seem to have changed much. At least, not from first glance. She seemed fine, just tired. "Athena..." she coughed out with a smile, walking towards her before giving her daughter a hug. She knew Athena didn't exactly like things like this, but she really needed to give her daughter a hug after these last few days.
“Mom..” *She hugged her back letting her helmet fall, to the floor, her body weak her spear dropping to the floor. Her face cracked with electrical shocks and she closed it. She smiled at her mother.* “Hera admitted she was a fucking liar, I want you to come home. I.. I can’t lose you to momma..”
*Her face was crackling and burning so much with electricity that it could be smelled. She couldn’t stop it and just had to bare the pain and hope her mom would come home.* “Please momma..”
"Hey- hey, I'm right here, dear." She managed to say between sniffles and sobs, trying to keep herself from not letting go of her amazing daughter. She wished she could go home, she really did. But Metis had no clue if Zeus would allow her to return after all that he'd accused her of. She also didn't know if she could stop herself from punching that cold-hearted, sad excuse for a queen in her beautiful, flawless, pale white face.
"I'll be back soon, I promise. I-I'll try and reach Zeus and Hera through Demeter. I'm sure she's not included in the ban, considering she spends most of her time here instead of on Olympus." She laughed at that last part. She let go, just so she could get a look at her daughter's face. Gods, she looked so hurt. But maybe it was best to focus on that later. "But I'm not going anywhere, Athena. I will always be able to promise you that."
“He finally started to look for you the other day.. days too late of you ask me..” *Her eye couldn’t even open and the snakes physically moved away from that side of her face. She held her, hands shaking as the crackling went down after taking a few shaky breaths to stop herself from crying.*
*She looked at Proméno before letting her go and grabbing him. Athena was never one to physically touch people but.. she had to thank him and the electrical fire on her face.. that would’ve made her scream so she just.. hugged him for a moment.*
“Okay.. mom.” *She looked directly at Metis, a small smile on her face but… she shouldn’t be smiling for what’s about to happen.* “My face feels like an electrical fire.. pain is really bad so.. I’m gonna..” *Before she could even say it she landed to the ground with a hard THUNK. She was out cold.*
“MOTHER?! MOOMMM!!!” *Athena’s voice rang out. She’d been looking for so long, yelling so loud.. her voice had gone horse. She moved fast, her head hurting as she tried anything to find her, quick thought, flying (even though it was very painful.) she just needed to find her mom..*

*The door swung and cracked the wall. She was huge. At least 13 ft tall. She flew over and grabbed her father.* “Where. is. she. What did you DO TO HER?!” *She screamed before pacing around her scales and feathers on end, snakes crying betraying her angry face.*
“Where is my mom!? You already took the one person who loved me, made me stab her in the heart! Now you take my mother to!! What is WRONG with YOU.”

"HEY." Zeus shoved his daughter off of him, adjusting his chiton as he looked at the work that'd just been ruined by the door swinging loud enough to hear in Dionesia. He already knew that this conversation was coming, but he thought he had a bit more time to prepare everything before telling her (or before she found out). The God king eyed her large form, she really got the tall genetics from her mother.
"I didn't do anything to Metis. I refused to lay a finger on her, Athena." He began, his slightly shaky voice betraying his own glare. "She's not allowed on Olympus anymore, nore is she allowed to be anywhere near Hera or anybody who comes to visit in the meantime."
"Athena, your mother took advantage of Hera. Of my wife. It didn't escalate more than a Makeout, sure. But according to Hera, she was intoxicated when it happened." His gaze on his daughter softened, "I care about Metis, I really do. But I just can't give her a chance to do that again."
“So you trust the woman that MURDERED you more than you trust anyone else. Or try and think logically. Smart move, Zeus.” *She had NEVER called him Zeus she was always Father, god king, dad even.. never his name.*
“So what. You EAT HER?! Is that what you did when she had me? Ate her?? You gonna eat me next?!” *She said her wings puffed wide and big as she looked down at him, her lips trembling and her white eyes full of tears.*
"No, swallowing her is OFF the table. I wouldn't forgive myself if I did that again." He wished he could help his daughter in that moment, but he wouldn't be able to get close enough to her without getting thrown across the room. He chose to ignore what she called him, Zeus. That was a new one. He forced himself to think that this was going to be fine, that she would get over it eventually.
"I don't know who gave you that idea, but she's probably somewhere in the overworld right now. Where, I'm not sure." He began to second guess himself. Hera wouldn't just lie to him. Sure, he'd always been an excellent liar, an actress even Dionysus respected on talent alone. But this was something too severe, too serious for her to just lie about.
"You can look for your mother if you want, I won't stop you from talking to her. But until I decide she can return, she won't be here for a while."
“You’re gotta be fucking STUPID!” *Never one to insult. She was not gonna get over this. At all.* “Hera and Metis are Both GAY! You’re just too blind, Hera is to prideful to admit it, and Metis doesn’t even UNDERSTAND what a gay person is.”
“God you’ve not changed at all when you thought me holding up and laying on Pallas was because she tried to do something so you made me stab her.” *She was tearing up now. Pallas never left her mind. It had been millennia’s and she still.. kept her there..* “You ruin everything. You’re obviously fucking blind because all you do is-is-“ *She started breathing heavily before snapping a second spear. This one was thicker than the first one she’s broken.. she was shaking.*
“I-I..” *Her snakes lick her face as tears threaten to spill. She doesn’t look at him. She can’t.. she just can’t. Not with her in her head. Not when her mom, her real mom, is missing..*
