i redesigned the G3 monster high girlies. i kept frankie nonbinary as i like this change. i made the heights more diverse as i think it makes more sense. i also gave clawdeen and cleo more textured hair as i don't love the hair they originally had.
i wasn't happy with my original draculaura redesign, i think it lacked her cutesy vampire-y vibes so here's me playing around with hairstyles and dress types.
i also gave her a cane as i believe she has some sort of chronic pain (idk why it just makes sense to me)
Such gates are used to mark the entrance to sacred grounds or gods' territories. "The tori gate symbolizes the division between the sacred and the profane, and is considered a spiritual gateway between the physical world and the spiritual realm."
I was watching an interview where vans actor was saying that all the card pulls where scripted so each character would pull the same card in each shot.

And I do tarot divination so the history behind the cards struck me as relevant, that being each tarot deck has 52 cards the same as a standard deck of playing cards and in early days of divination the would use playing cards if they didn't have access to a tarot deck.
So I did some research into each card that was pulled by the yellow jackets crew:
Misty - 8 of diamonds -Eight of diamonds meaning is unpredictable. On a rainy day this card announces obstacles and efforts without success. On a sunny day – on the contrary – it means good prospects for business. The deeper message of the Eight of spades is that of prudence. Even if it is sunny outside, take an umbrella.
Van - jack of hearts -The Jack of hearts signifies an honest young man in love. He is attractive, nice and generous and would like to be kind to you. This card often announces a new intimate friendship. As a lover, the Jack of hearts is often away, but is committed and sincere and would make good marriage material.
Shauna - 4 diamonds -Four of diamonds signifies important revelations. It is like a map of hidden treasures. You could have tried and failed for years and years, and then you realize that you just have to dig in one precise spot and you will find the chest of gold. Four of diamonds means that you will get an important hint.
Travis - ace of clubs - The Ace of clubs represents a large purse of money. Most people think that it is the luckiest card of the whole deck. The Ace of clubs is not just about purchasing power. It signifies the power of getting anything that you want. Indeed, this card is an omen of better health, happy relationships and longer life.
Tai - 6 of spades - 6 of spades means minor infidelities in a relationship. Sometimes it could be an omen of cheating and divorce, but this is a rare exception. Most often Six of spades is just a sign that a couple is not being completely sincere with each other. She would never tell the truth about the price of her new shoes. Why would she?
Javi - King of spades- King of Spades indicates a man of bad faith. He is a predator who seeks to use you for his own ends. This card often indicates a love affair with a wrong man. Even though you know that the King of spades is bad for you, you still want him. Do not despair! You have the strength to resist him. Just say “NO”.
Nat - Queen of hearts- The Queen of hearts represents sincere and loving woman of tender heart. For a man this card means his sweetheart lover or a woman he will marry. For a woman she signifies a sincere friend or a nearest relative. More generally, the Queen of hearts evokes the feelings of unconditional and caring love.
Some of these cards are incredibly accurate to the characters we see in the wilderness (such as misty being unpredictable and van being helplessly in love with tai) and some are relevant to the present (tai being divorced and going through a rocky time with simone) and nats card being the "sacrifice" card further pushes the idea that the sacrifices are out of love and the will to keep the others alive (mirrored with Jackie's necklace originally being a symbol of friendship and protection).
Javi and travis' cards I believe work better in the reversed positions, Travis instead of being lucky is time and time again being put in unlucky scenarios and Javi chooses to help Nat by leading her to safety and eventually dies for her making him the opposite to his cards meaning.
Shauna is the only one I can't make a connection to right now but if it clicks I will make an update or if anyone has any ideas please add them on I'd love to see!
Childhood made everything feel like it lingered. The time it took for hot chocolate to cool down was eternal. Christmas day took weeks. The two-hour drive to my grandparents' house took us to a new world. It's all too fast now.
This post is picking up notes around Christmas, and I think it's because this is NEVER more true than Christmas. When you're a kid, an occasion takes up so much of your life that you just live in it. Now, Christmas really is just one day.
