“you’re welcome,” he smiled, “i’m sure there are some advantages. it must be easier to get into smaller places. there have to be other perks.”

cherry shut her eyes tight for a minute and exhaled, embarrassed anyone saw that. she looks up at him and smiles meekly, “hey, oh uh thanks,” she says, taking him up on the offer. “sorry about that.”
beau bent down and helped the girl up from the ground. “are you alright? did you hurt yourself?” he asked. “don’t be sorry, it’s not a problem.”
zackjcel:
“maybe, but i didn’t hear any wailing.“ zack frowns. "are you hearing things?”
“i think i must be hearing things,” beau shrugged.

“i did but i’m hardly going to waste my breath repeating myself, am i?”
“you have my full undivided attention now, you can repeat yourself.”

“probably not, but it could’ve been.” he shrugs. “in the past until we became more modern and it, remodeled everything.”
“it might have just been someone else waling by,” beau spoke,”i guess so.”
zackjcel:
“a ghost?’ zack raises his eyebrows, letting out a chuckle. “they’re very unlikely to exist unless you’re in a very spiritual place.“
“maybe,” beau suggested, “i don’t think this street corner is really a very spiritual place, but stranger things have happened.”
lilithharrison:
“Oh I was just wondering if you could grab that for me? Please?,” Lilith said as she pointed to an object above her reach. “Problems of being short…everything you want is just out of reach,” she joked.
“of yeah of course,” beau nodded and reached for the object. “this one?” he asked and pulled it off the shelf. “being six foot three has a few advantages.”
zackjcel:
“uh, nope?” zack blinked up at the man, eyes off his phone for more than five seconds. “maybe you’re hearing things.”
“sorry,” beau shrugged, “i must be hearing things. maybe it was a ghost.”

“Uh, no?” Isaac definitely hadn’t said anything, but he couldn’t vouch for anyone else who might have walked by. He’d been glued to his phone, a pretty common state of being for him. “Unless it was someone else walking past, I think you’re just hearing things.”
“really? i thought i heard something?” he shrugged. beau looked around, trying to see if anyone else could have been the source of the voice he had heard. “i must be hearing things.”

eli shook her head and looked at the male with a cocked brow, “nah, mate, you’re good.” she replied to the other.
“you didn’t? i must be hearing things,” beau shook his head.

Avery had walked down to the local store to pick her mom out some flowers when she saw Beau. “ I said, what are you doing here?” she repeated with a soft sigh slightly frustrated he hadn’t heard her the first time.
beau smiled when he saw avery and knelt down. “sorry i didn’t hear you. i was running and stopped to get some more water to drink. the better question is, what are you doing here all alone?”
beau had stopped downtown to get some more water during his run. he turned around when he heard a voice behind him. “sorry, did you say something?” he spoke and took his earbuds off.
cherry was walking out of the store to her car, bags of groceries on her arms. one hand holding her keys to unlock the door and the other holding her phone. too busy typing away, she doesn’t realize when one of her heels snaps out from under her. “oh fuck ! “ she exclaims, without considering who’s around, her fall sends her keys and phone flying.
beau had stopped momentarily during his run to reorient himself. sure he spent a good portion of his life and hillsboro, but after five years some things had changed. he quickly turned around when he heard a yell and ran towards the girl. “here, let me help you up,” he offered.
“does this look bad?”
“it looks pretty bad. what happened?”

Cody followed the man in front of him. “ I’m Cody” he shyly replied. “ I’m Cody Scott. I live with my moms and sister and brother. I know what my house looks like, I’m just not sure what wrong block I turned to. ”
“scott? i know where your house is. it’s right by where my daughter lives. i can take you there. do you want to try and walk or do you want me to take you in my car?”

Cody looked at the older man and nodded. “ I need to get home before it starts to rain. My moms will be worried and I don’t want that. Can you tell me where I can find my house ? It’s square with four windows and one door ” he described as he scratched his nose. “ It also has a garden.”
“come here buddy, let’s get out of the road okay?” he spoke and guided the young boy to underneath the awning. beau knelt on the ground to speak, “my name is beau rivers, what’s your name? i can help you find your family, i promise.”
“my head is aching… i think this storm is fucking with my sinuses.”
“you think it’s messing with your sinuses?”
