“if you want it to be.” he chuckles, ordering her a drink and going back to sipping his own, “it’s…nice to see you, lorena.” he tells her, sincerity rare, but truthful. he did appreciate the company of the other syndicate member, the way they often could tell each other whatever they wanted in confidence. it was a relationship not like the others he had. “how have you been?”
“You also, Señor.” The woman nodded. Whilst she was not the most honest person alive, she meant that. Lorena hadn’t stayed true to herself when she was younger but now she had grown and distinguished herself as someone special, a fixer, she had all she needed. Validation from other people was no longer a necessity, just a perk that came with being the best at what she did. That’s how everything works like clockwork.” Lorena always seemed to be far too relaxed but that was what had come with the acceptance of her predicament.
