We’re SO BACK!! I have been busy the last few months—I got a new more intense job in a different city and I moved, twice!, and I got caught in a flash flood and a bunch of other stuff and it was all very chaotic and left me no painting time. But I am sooooo here for Pantheon SMP! and I’m really hoping it gets me back into making art again 🤩 Have an Apokuna!

Alternative thinking about the "lore VS game metrics" argument in tf!Ambear's rescue

I've been a little stunned by tf!graecie saying that tf!ambear's rescue and Osteon's actions wasn't as bad as tf!legs and tf!Scott were saying, and that tf!legs saying that he nearly got an artery nicked was "exagerative" and that "it wasn't that bad".

Cc!graecie's reasoning is that death was off on the server so "in lore, it wasn't as close as in game metrics". Which makes sense.

But, it differs a lot from tf!legs' reaction and crash out which I found super valid tbh. Same for tf!Scott.

But that's also why tf!graecie being so dismissive of TWO of her friends was a little jarring for me. She's a very supportive character in nature and when she doesn't agree with something, she still respects the other opinion; but here she was quite literally "he's exagerating, I got hurt a lot / I was the one hurt the most and it wasn't so bad, I heal fast". She didn't even know the damage he received (I think cc!graecie was basing her ic!reactions on her ooc!knowledge here lmao). But that's such a dichotomy from usual that I was thrown off watching her vods.

So, hear me out trying to explain -while validating- both their reactions:

Both tf!graecie and tf!legs got to half a heart. My explanation for the gap between their reactions could be because of a few things:

• tf!graecie being sacrificial lamb all thing (we still have so much work to do on that front lmao. Idk if we will ever truly see the end of it)

• tf!graecie going down to half a heart one time in the altercation VS tf!Legundo dropping 2 or 3 times (I can't remember exactly, my bad. Please, be nice if I'm wrong), so even with the "lore VS game metrics" argument, he still would have been "hurt more" to say

• tf!legs is still recovering from huge injuries and a murder attempt via hanging. He's still hurt as it is, plus he's in full survival mode!

So, when someone fully trained -which none of them (students) have been -plus, someone that they started to trust (for tf!Scott) as finally someone capable in their corner- treats the very real rescue of one of his dearest friends as a test, during which he was once again injured a lot, and may also have had some flashbacks of his last fight for his life, ofc he's going to crash out and focus on the damage they received and the what if_s

sobbed through the whitepine finale the credits are rolling my face is drenched in tears and suddently, unexpectedly out of nowhere i hear ldshadowlady's intro. Holy whiplash
