Tolight #14
It was scared of something, where did the man go? a rock passed throughout the trees and almost hit the horse in the head, more rocks kept being thrown, the horse ran again, then as they all were focused on the horse a rock hit the kid in the head.
He was crying, like really loud, and suddenly he wasn't the one crying it was a baby behind him, but he didn't turn around to see, instead, he studs up and began walking, he didn't want to hear that crying, everything was around him was like dreaming, white, soft but scary and immense.
He started running, an owl was following him, he started to slow down, it was a weird owl, like if it went into a fight or something. and it came closer he noticed it had weird orange and brown pupils with geometric figures.
it kept looking at him, and then the floor started feeling less after a while, he realized he was falling "are you going to be okay?" the owl asked with an old squeaky voice.

He made a confused face and said something, they didn't respond, they remained like statues, looking at him, they looked like two puppies, defenceless, I mean the man can't have any bad intentions with those kids, right? right?
He went back to the horse and from one of the bags of the saddle, he pulled out a piece of bread, put it in a smaller bag and told them something again. I wonder what he is telling them.
after a while he just sat down in the grass, it was getting dark he yelled something at the kids and prepared to keep going on his way, he left something black tied to a branch of the tree and left.
In the middle of the night, something was making noise again, the man was coming back, fast, making a lot of noise, but when he was finally there, it was just the horse.

The next day in the morning they followed the usual routine, she came back with a lot of small fruits to eat, and they sat down in the root of a tree, and slowly ate those tiny fruits, and after a couple of hours, they were almost falling asleep, and something started to sound repeatedly in the forest, it was coming from the road, it sounded harder every time, clip-clop, clip-clop, heavy, coming toward the kids.
they climbed the tree in a hurry as the sound kept getting louder, a man in a weird horse was coming, it had two big horns or something like horns and fully blue eyes with white pupils, but they had never seen a horse before, probably a type of horse they just never heard of, he saw what was left of the campfire, and looked around, then he saw them.
Tolight #11
The routine had changed a little since then, now they stayed at the same place for two or three days and once they caught or find something to eat they moved the next day, they seemed kind of happier, stronger, and also faster in some way.
two weeks have passed, they found some road today, they find paths all the time, but this time it was wider, like the ones where people go with horses and stuff, they couldn't decide what to do, they camped in a tree next to the road, uncertain of what they should do, follow the road or keep going as they had done, they were doing fine these last weeks but was it really fine? they would probably figure it out tomorrow. They also started to notice me, so I went back to hiding.
Tolight #10
The next day they separated, they went in the opposite direction to one another, he came back earlier with some wood and threw it next to the tree they slept on the day before, he went in the same direction again and came back with more stuff, to make a campfire mostly, in the afternoon he started to walk in circles, looking kind of worried, more and more as the time passes, when the girl finally came he almost started crying they had never separated, and he finally cried she showed him a rabbit she had caught, and killed, and yet this time was of joy, he wasn't happy that they killed a bunny, but at least it wasn't as defenceless as the chicks they had eaten, it probably lived a long life, at least for a rabbit.
Tolight #9
They woke up crying the next day, why did they have to do what they did the day before, their instinct told them to and yet they didn't want to do it, why did they felt more valuable than those chicks, they didn't do anything to deserve it more than just existing, they had to otherwise it felt that they would have died, and they didn't want to die, but why? They needed to know.
Tolight #8
Somehow they are still alive, climbing a tree every single night, they began walking, not much time later he saw something in a tree, and started climbing it.
It was a nest with chicks, they were hesitant at what they were going to do, but they needed it so much so they grab some fallen branches, dry leaves and stuff made a campfire and cooked the small birds, who knows why their mother wasn't with them, and they thought that the chicks probably would have thought the same about them if they could.
Tolight #7
It's not morning yet, but they climbed down the tree earlier today, the sun is barely starting to show up, and they already began moving, birds are chirping, the sound of wind moves through the leaves of the trees, it's a beautiful setting, except for the two mysterious kids, walking side by side. What do they see? What do they think?
Some days had passed since the fox incident, I lost the count. They ate some bugs so there's that, they have kept going in the same direction, I guess, I don't really know. does the orientation matter to them? or they are planning on finding something, maybe a town to stay, although things probably wouldn't be better for them in one, maybe they know, so they walk in circles, or maybe they are trying to follow a straight path to find something they don't even know what it is.
Tolight #6
They felt angry, and they felt angrier the hungrier they got, they began feeling guilty but it quickly became an anger towards the fox, even though they knew it was just like them trying to survive one more day, and yet they couldn't help it but to blame the fox.
A couple of days has passed, it looks like they aren't angry anymore, or at least they lack the strength to be angry and it looks more like they're just sad and careless, they climbed the tree earlier today, probably they are just tired of walking all day, expecting who knows what, or maybe the understand the situation and never expected anything from the beginning, anyway they are asleep now.
Tolight #5
Pretty deep in the night they lit up the fire again, they heard something, they grabbed their stuff pretty quickly, the rest of the meat left, went to the backpack, tied everything with a rope and a blanket and both pulled it up to the tree.
In the morning they woke up, happy with a full stomach, for a few seconds until they saw their improvised bag fell in the night and a fox was eating the leftovers, they started getting down of the tree and as soon as the fox saw them climbing down he started running away, in the matter of seconds it was like the fox was never there, except the for the mess he left behind, all the food he ate, and a feeling of guilty for not taking the time at night to check if they had secured right their stuff in the branch of the tree.
