hey there. bit of a long time, no see. you’re probably wondering if we’re ever going to update, and as an audience you have the right to know the answer. the news isn’t that good, i’m afraid. because of several rl circumstances, we’re no longer working together on 100don. 

both of us still love mythology and plan to write and draw about it. you can find and contact us through our personal / art blogs, if you’d like (@emegustart and @elved respectively). though you’ve likely already guessed, this blog is going to be largely inactive from here on in, though it will linger on as an archive for those who need it. you’ll still be able to read what we have of the comic on smackjeeves, should you wish.

being part of this project was a huge learning experience, and none of it would have happened without your constant support, encouragement, and love. thank you all for everything over the last two years. it’s been a pleasure.

Do you think Thanatos would ever be jealous of Hades/Persephone's baby? Would he feel inferior as an adopted son? Are there moments where he feels less of a son and more of an employee? I love how Thanatos' eyes are a mystery! Not to get too dark, but would someone ever want to steal them-if it were possible? haha can you tell Thanatos is my favorite? And I love angst. Your comic is incredible! Sorry for the spam, the feels have gotten me.

nah, it isn’t really in his personality to be jealous—he’s just not that kind of guy. and if he did at any time feel jealous while he was down and out he’d feel so guilty about it that it would never happen again. i elaborated on a similar scenario during the lore questions week, so if you look through the masterpost, you’ll find the answers you’re seeking!

This is going to sound way corny, but your comic is honestly the best thing I have read/viewed in so long. I love Greek Myth and your depictions are incredible. Not going to lie I've shed a few tears when reading the comic, partially just because I was so blown away by the depth and artistry (both the art of words and images). Aww I'm so sad I didn't find out about this comic until today. I love Greek Mythology and I LOVE that Persephone is brown! :) I'm sad book 2 is sold out because I'd love to buy both.

First, I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to the both of you for sharing your art and your take on the Hades/Persephone story. Kudos to all the effort and love that was put into this comic, it'll be greatly missed. I'm just wondering, was there a certain planned ending or storyboard that the both of you had in terms for the comic? Best wishes to you and Eme for a bright and happy future in whatever you choose to do. Cheers!!.

There was indeed an ending we planned. This first strip I drew some time ago when everything exploded could be considered an epilogue. If Bleu wants to tell you guys something more about the plot and ending, it’s up to her :)

I know it is probably inappropriate to ask at a time like this, but would it ever be possible to buy the books available? Some friends and I were really looking forward to buying some for Christmas. Even if 100don is shutting down, we'd still like to thank the authors and creators for sharing this wonderful work with us, even if we can't do much for you guys.

i believe the only copies left in store are the versions in the Spanish translation, though i could be wrong. you’ll have to ask / wait until eme wakes up. until that’s possible, i will say i do have some spares in English lying around. if you’re willing to contact me off anon we could discuss this further!

So neither of you, even separately, is going to continue work on the comic? I'm very sorry to hear that; not just as a reader, but as someone who knows how gut-wrenching it can be to abandon a project that you've already invested so much time and effort into. Wishing you guys both the best, and thank you for sharing as much of 100 DoN as you could.

thank you, it really means a lot. the fact that it was so positively received and so loved is part of what made the experience very special. we all love mythology, so i don’t think this is goodbye forever.

Where did you get the idea of Apollo wanting Artemis to be his intended and his sister?

the wording is a little bit unclear, so forgive me if i misunderstood, but as far as their relationship goes i’ve drawn only on what i’ve known / been taught. 

they’re unquestionably related, since they were born to the same mother, and are twins. some interpretations go a bit further and imply that Apollo’s jealousy was not well-intended brotherly over-protectiveness (he did, after all, strike Orion down, or poison him with a scorpion, depending on who you ask, and all for associating with Artemis).

i always felt like he’d had more than platonic feelings for Artemis, so that’s how i wrote it. the gods don’t have any problem mingling anyway, so... it wouldn’t be that out of the question, really.
