I find it very strange that two very generically popular animes (Naruto and MHA) explore and emphasize a toxic world that needs change then.... Conforms to it.

Little awkward it happens twice where Shonen repeatedly tells you the world needs to be changed and gives you constant examples then tells you to forget it and move on because even the protagonists (Naruto and Izuku) can't change it and it's better to drink the kool-aid then be seen as "disruptive" to society.

Kind of a little too real honestly.

I feel like I've dabbled in a lot of Fandoms that have low expectations/are okay with the bare minimum as long as it has content.

Even if the Quality of that Content is Questionable or even Subpar.

I seen it in Gacha Otome Fandoms

I seen it in Shonen Anime Fandoms.

I seen it in the Ratchet and Clank Fandom.

A Lot of these Fandoms are pretty okay with Breadcrumbs/Subpar Content as long as they have some content over none and it's always strange for me because even at my most diehard I believe there is nothing wrong with having expectations with the media you consume.

Most of these fandoms I mentioned bar the Gacha Otome ones ( LADS, OM!, WHB ) I think have franchises that can deliver if challenged to, but Fandoms don't challenge them and majority are prone to accept what they're given and that leads to complacency.

If you're okay with receiving crumbs, that's all you'll ever really get does that make sense?

And I get why some fandoms do it because either they got in young/impressionable and it's their nostalgia blinding them/making it hard to be firm with it (Shonen Anime) or they're afraid of their Franchise Dying (Obey Me and Ratchet and Clank) so they figure better to be blindly loyal than set the line of what they want.

I guess I say this to say; There's nothing wrong with having expectations or standards to the media you consume. You can love something and criticize it and it's not to be a wet blanket but it's because you know it'll be great if someone held it accountable.

But a lot of fandoms don't hold the franchise they enjoy accountable, and since it's not a majority effort, that's why we get into these weird ruts with them. Dubious place where it feels like you're the only "No" in a sea of "Yes".

It’s so funny to me that Levi has only one flaw as a soldier and that is not knowing when to shut up. As he told Zeke:
