For our 1st year together, you bought me a rose gold ring. I wear that ring on my right hand.
After our first big fight, and nearly our first break up, you bought me a silver ring and matching earrings. I wear the ring on my left hand.
For my birthday, you got me roses, a teddy with ‘I love you’ on it and a tattoo voucher. I sleep with that teddy every night, covered in your scent so it feels like home, and I’ll be getting your name tattooed somewhere in the piece we chose together.
The matching tattoo we impulsively got together, a matching heart on our left hand, I’ll be getting ‘always’ tattooed around one side of the heart.
Your promise ring, and your initial, I wear on my necklace, long enough so that it can lean against my heart.
We may not be together anymore, you may no longer want me, and you may want to forget everything about me, and that’s okay.
But you were my one true love, my soulmate, my best friend. I’ll wear these pieces, to remember you, to cherish our memories, never forgetting you.
