There are 100 people. They have just settled into an agricultural lifestyle. They have no contact with any other peoples.

Due to keyboard restrictions and laziness, the phoneme inventory must be written with what’s on the US ENG INT keyboard. However, these are just the closest equivalents to what the actual phonemes are. How they are written is the second row.

Pulmonic Consonants:

Three manners of articulation are used, and three manners to match them. Only the unvoiced are used.

As the glottis has a limited number of phonemes, the alveolar region is used as a substitute.

No glottal sound many end word.

Non-Pulmonic Consonants:

These were chosen to expand the consonant inventory with no rule determining their selection.

These sounds may neither start nor end words.

Vowels:

A rounded and unrounded vowel from the front and back, as well as one unrounded and rounded from the closed and open. However, as none of the sounds in the open row were distinguishable to a sample, they were changed to their closest equivalents until all four were distinguishable.

Syllabic Structure:

V, VC, CV, VCV, CVC

Duplicate consonants aren’t allowed.

Language is SOV in simple sentences.

Following Greenberg’s List, it also favors postpositions.

This is an evolving language. We’re starting from the basics of the language (phonetic inventory, simple sentence structure) and then modifying it to what it needs during its evolution.

For example, at cultural-year 0 (0 c.y.), there are only 100 speakers who live in a small farming community. Their language will be very different from their descendants, which live in several urbanized cities in 3000 c.y.
