• Twelfth Architect is both genderless and a literal robot, so I’d appreciate it (a.k.a. I will make you, no exceptions) if you refer to this account with they/it pronouns. I will only correct someone ONCE on this.

• With Twelfth Architect being a character found in acts 2 & 3, there will be any and all spoilers found here. Don’t interact if you haven’t finished the game and don’t like spoilers!!

• I really like the story of Silksong and the Hollow Knight series as a whole, so I may talk about it out of character, I’ll have a tag up above for this, but just wanted to reiterate it here.

• I’m not a huge fan of shipping this character, so I ask you not do that when interacting with this blog… thanks!

• I’m fine with other RP accounts interacting with mine, ‘cause I wish to interact with others as well!

• Since I’m new to both RP’ing and Tumblr, rules may be changed/added. I’m here cause I like the community and Twelfth Architect is a personal favorite character of mine… So… yeah… have fun!

Honestly, this sounds surprisingly possible with the first inspirations of the Architects crafts being Weaver-made and would make sense if the soul of a “weaver-type” was incorporated within an architects shell.

and this concept is actually incredibly cool and awesome actually

Okay, while typing this, I remembered it’s introduction dialogue (up above), and while not really confirmation, the importance of the first children to the Architects is incredibly interesting to me…

I have been doing my w-w-w-work this morning as per usual. Unfortunately, I have been having difficulties-troubles running as per usual.

if you really need hollow knight lore just listen to my occasional theories/analysis/rants I have over the games.

The only reason I use the wiki is for sprites and to read the dialogue, cause I just can’t trust anything the wiki says about characters that isn’t in direct quotes from the game!!

also, if for some reason you really hate excessive swearing, please don’t read the tags. I was just taking out my anger… night friends :D

OOC Pale King hits post and immediately dies on his throne.

Okay, i kinda made a joke yesterday about the “…ANCIENT ENEMY…” dream nail line that Radiance has, but I’ve been thinking about it quite a bit since…

so like, A lot of people associate that line with the void, I mean, the dark and light would be polar opposites, so it makes sense. but, and I’m going straight off of memory so I could be wrong (it’s been a BIT since I had to think majorly of the first games story) the game really doesn’t show much rivalry against Radiance and the void. This could just be a battle lost to time, like most of the story, but with how the void is treated in Silksong, and how Radiance seems tied exclusively to Hallownest (which void is not), I don’t think they are rivals.

“But who is this ‘ancient enemy?’” I have two ideas, but to be honest, I’m not quite sure…

#1 Is the Pale King himself, this feels the most likely for me, but there is one thing that keeps me from being certain that I’ll get to…

When the Pale King took the Moth tribe from Radiance, I’m pretty sure it became on sight. The infection starts, baby-crushing machine, yada-yada. Radiance becomes the most PISSED being in the world and goes out to ruin the Pale King’s kingdom by any means possible. If I were looking for two people being enemies, this is what I would try and find.

A rivalry lasting who knows how long battling over control of Hallownest but, thats where I’m unsure. how long were they doing this? Despite the pure hatred from Radiance, Hallownest is implied to be a fairly young kingdom. If this is the case, the “ancient” part just doesn’t really work. The problem is that time in the Hollow Knight games is INCREDIBLY ambiguous. The kingdom could be ancient, but it’s just hard to tell.

The other option is the vessels. The only real evidence for this is that The Knight is who gets the dialogue and the vessels were made to defeat the Radiance. Problem? they are even LESS ancient than Hallownest.

Soooo… that’s why I’m not fully sure…

There is the secret third option where Radiance had the biggest one-sided rivalry against the void for unexplained reasons.

But, I think that’s pretty much how I’m leaving this off, it’s just not explained. Void doesn’t really appear to target anything, it just consumes anything it touches that isn’t void itself.

Maybe one day we’ll get further explanation, but I doubt Radiance is gonna be brought up again. And I think, personally, that the story of Hallownest should remain closed anyways.
