Okay, but as I said on twitter, I feel like this doesn’t get enough real attention and appreciation. She gave birth, which is incredibly taxing and shocking to your body (even though it is what it readies itself for for months), and only SEVEN HOURS LATER, she is walking around in heels and leaving the hospital.

You literally feel like you’ve been hit by a bus after you give birth. Your insides feel like mush. It was hard for me to even breathe normally while standing upright a couple days after I gave birth, but Kate is such a trooper that she does THAT. Most of us are still flat on our backs with a frozen pad that’s the size of a diaper stuck between our legs while we try to keep our eyes open.

She amazes me. She really does. I have no idea how she has done that three times now. She’s my birthing hero.

Outlander Fanfiction Relay Team

So, there seems to be enough of us willing to form the 1st Outlander Fanfiction Relay Team! I say LET’S DO IT.

I’ll try and organize it, since I already started the thing. Here is what I’ve been thinking so far:

- I think it will work best if a blog is created for it, so people can more easily find the updates and keep track with the story. But let me know what you think.

-  A list will be created so we all know who is doing the relay and who is receiving the story afterwards. When each part is written and published, the following person should be tagged to know she is on next. The idea is always to add to the story, so nothing in the previous content should be erased – the story gets longer and longer by reblogging the previous section and adding to it.

- As this is a busy season with regular fics, fics inspired from the show, Outlander Secret Santa and the Holidays, I suggest that we start with a simple one. For that, I’m calling a maximum 500 words each person is allowed to add to the story on each turn.

-  There is absolute freedom to take the story anywhere you want and there is no plot outline. The funniest part will be seeing how people will take what you did and sail with it on a totally different trajectory. That being said, respect for the writing already done must always be in the forefront of our minds. Let’s strive for some sense.

- We will follow the same narrator and verbal tense, pleeeease.

- If you’re interested, please answer this post with an “AYE”. Everyone is welcome, you don’t need to show any special credentials. 😊 (if you’re only interested in reading it, you can also answer in whatever manner you feel is appropriate ahah).
