@jaimetheexplorer, @fawnilu and I have been collaborating on a fic since like… July? Yeah, we’re slow, because I only get like one paragraph in before I have to scream about the lost potential and then go for a walk lmao god. THE THINGS I PUT MYSELF THROUGH. Hey, at least my rage is keeping me in shape.

Koops and I are writing, and Fawn is adapting our scripts to comic book form, which is how it’ll be released. I’m still on a break until TWOW, but I’ve been stuck to this for so long that I have to finish for my own sanity, so I’ll be popping in every now and then. Once we have it complete (around January? We’re almost done), we’ll probably be releasing it chapter by chapter.

This is NOT a S8 fix-it fic. Fixing S8 is nearly impossible, because you have to go back like 4 seasons to clean up the garbage. The fic also isn’t what we want to happen or what we think will happen. Our characterizations lean more towards show-based and try to follow setup in past seasons, while sticking mostly true to the rumored original S8 outline. Therefore, we’re exploring what S8 could have looked like if they had gone that route, whether the alternate endgame gossip is true or not.

ANYWAY, we wanted to release one scene as a sneak peek, because it’s JB haha. HAPPY HOLIDAYS JB FANDOM! :)

concept: a TV show runs for a decent number of years. More than four. The characterizations stay consistent. The writers don’t do anything wildly inappropriate like excuse rape or abuse. No one you’ve invested hours upon hours of your life into has their story reduced to a “shocking” death scene that has no meaning beyond that shock value. The quality of the storylines don’t take a sudden, strange spiral downward. When it ends, you leave it feeling bittersweet. Sad that it’s over, but glad you got to experience it and take a journey with some people who you came to care about.
