@1900miles
to my mother,
I wish I could heal you in all the places that you are hurt.
Women: Trans people have never attacked anyone in a restroom before - it's really not something we're worried about.
Republicans: It doesn't matter! We need to keep WOMEN SAFE from SEXUAL ASSAULT at ALL COSTS!
Women: We need to do something about the disturbing number of rapes on college campuses.
Republicans: Have you tried not dressing like a slut?
you can do better
it's hard to hear "you don't have me" from someone who's had you the entire time. and it's harder to know that I'm going to be yours the entire time you're sleeping with other girls and experimenting with other guys. there's never been a question for me, I've been yours since the first date.
I'm tired of people deciding what's good for me.
the #1 reason I've been broken up with is because they think I'm too good for them lmao
you donât even know how much you hurt me.
Bernie vs Hillary: The Real Differences
full version of the video by The David Pakman Show here: Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWRe0Qa0v8Y
do we really want a president who is gaining all the super delegates? doesnât that tell you that she will run the country the same way it has always been run? do you not want change?
Bernie Sanders is winning BIG in Blue States! 62-38 in MN!
The initial southern Red States favored the Right-center politics of Hillary. Now that the Blue States are voting, Bernie is coming alive!Â
By June, Bernie will have the delegates. Thatâs why we donât give the nomination before the primaries.
YAY HOME
Pour yourself into me and I will not let a drop of you hit the ground.

Today, I was walking to class, and the girl behind me was talking about how she was unable to get scholarships because she was ânot Mexican enoughâ and Iâm just tired of people trying to be more oppressed than others. She said that she did not receive her scholarships because her essays were âtoo good,â indicating that she was âtoo educated to be Mexican enough for the scholarship.â She said that they only award scholarships to âreally poor and really stupidâ people, because they know theyâre âreal Mexicans.â She also mentioned how a couple years ago, they applied for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and didnât get it because when her mother applied, she spoke proper English, so they knew she must be educated and thus ânot Mexican enough.âÂ
I was pretty upset about this myself, but I didnât want to speak up to her as we all had places to go at lunch time on a college campus. Iâm astonished, though, because UCR is one of the most diverse schools in the country, and generally (from my experience) people do not think in such a way. I donât entirely know why Iâm upset about this, though.Â
Some statistics that I was prompted to look up:Â
9175 out of 22802 people on SNAP are white according to the USDA. (http://www.fns.usda.gov/sites/default/files/ops/Characteristics2013.pdf)
65.2% of people receiving privately distributed scholarships are white. (http://www.finaid.org/scholarships/20110902racescholarships.pdf)
Just an interesting observation of my daily life, I suppose.
Americaâs dangerous âself-madeâ mythology: Why our ideas about upward mobility are seriously misinformed
In the new Quinnipiac poll, Sanders also runs much stronger against Trump than Clinton does.
Stop the presses! According to a new poll by Quinnipiac University on Tuesday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) destroys Republican candidate Donald Trump in a general election by 13 percentage points. In this new poll, Sanders has 51 percent to Trumpâs 38 percent. If this margin held in a general election, Democrats would almost certainly regain control of the United States Senate and very possibly the House of Representatives.
It is high time and long overdue for television networks such as CNN to end their obsession with Trump and report the all-important fact that in most polls, both Hillary Clinton and Sanders would defeat Trump by landslide margins. In the new Quinnipiac poll, Clinton would defeat Trump by 7 percentage points, which is itself impressive and would qualify as a landslide, while the Sanders lead of 13 points would bring a landslide of epic proportions.
It is noteworthy that in this Quinnipiac poll, Sanders runs so much stronger than Clinton against Trump. It is also noteworthy and important that both Sanders and Clinton run so far ahead of Trump in general election match-up polling. And it is profoundly important and revealing that Sanders would defeat Trump by such a huge margin â 13 points in this poll â that analysts would be talking about a national political realignment and new progressive era in American history if an enlightened candidate such as Sanders would defeat a retrograde race-baiting candidate such as Trump by a potentially epic and historic margin.
It is time for the mainstream media to end their obsession with Trump and their virtual news blackout of the Sanders campaign when discussing presidential campaign polling.
How about, from now on, when any analyst on television discusses how strong Trump allegedly is, that it be emphasized that this strength is only within the GOP, and that in a general election, the real heavyweight champion of presidential polling is Bernie Sanders, not Donald Trump!
Iâve photographed a lot of public figures in the last 10 years. Usually I get to kinda know them quick because weâre not surrounded by a lot of people, and Iâm there when theyâre rehearsing, or back stage, or telling me what theyâre insecure about when theyâre filmed. I see how they speak to their staff in private during stressful times. I see them edit their scripts and the comments they make about why theyâre taking something out or adding it. I know one in particular who everyone believes is arrogant and made of steel - yet before we roll, theyâre nervous and find comfort in a photo of their child they pull up on the phone as they practice their lines. During our meeting with Bernie I also learned a lot. At his HQ in DC, which is a very impressive word for charming 2-3 bedroom house, I saw a Bernie who was humble. Who spoke without theatrics and with genuine investment for Black Lives Matter, for immigrants and refugees like myself, and with real concern for all American families, Republican, Democrat or other, who are being convinced to vote against their own interests based on labels and not hearing those among them sounding the alarms because our Democracy is drowned with money that is confused for speech, and corporations that are confused for people. I learned that when my colleagues (Working Families Party) were speaking about movement building in their communities all over this country, he wasnât just waiting for his turn to speak. He was genuinely listening. He had more questions than statements. Some are saying right now heâs been saying the same thing for decades as mayor, congressperson, senator and soon President. Thatâs true but that doesnât mean youâre not changing and evolving. If your premise is right: a society belongs to society, it allows unlimited success for the most successful among us and provides unlimited opportunities to the those pushed aside, all as equals, then you donât change, you bolster. You reinforce. You grow more leaves. Your roots grows deeper. Because youâre already pointing towards the light. Come and join me and Bernieâs new posse at#WFP4Bernie http:// workingfamilies.org/wfp4berniethey may have all the money, but weâve got more people and this is ours if we want to work for it.#feelthebernÂ
