Calling for Pinch hitters!

We have reached the part of the exchage where you are all busy bees writing your own little masterpieces, but even now there are some things to organize.

We are in need of more pinch hitters aka people who are willing to take over when someone has to drop out, which means that you would need to be able to fulfil your prompt in a shorter amount of time than the others.

If you think that you want to do that and know that you are able to write fast, there are three different ways of letting us know that you are avaible for us a a a pinch hitter:

Hello and welcome to the Ace Aro Fic Exchange! 

There’s a severe lack of ace and aro fics in the fandom, and that needs to be changed, so this fic exchange was born!

What is a fic exchange?

An exchange is when you submit a request for a fic you’d like written and, in return, you offer to write a fic for someone else.

When’s the deadline?

Sign ups open on the 23rd of August Sign ups close on the 23rd of September

Fics are due on the 5th of December, so you have around three months to write your fic!

What are the rules?

1. At least one person in each fic must be on either the aromantic and/or asexual spectrum.

2. Must write at least 2k for your prompt.

3. Beta’d if possible.

4. No tropes that consist of “I thought I was aro/ace until I met you”.

5. If you need to drop out, please tell one of us right away so we can assign a pinch hitter to your assignment.

6. If you need extra time, feel free to ask for it

7. Please try not to talk about your fic too much as the person you’re writing for could possibly see it.

8. Be as specific as possible with your sign ups! Send at least 3 prompts.

Sorry, I've never done an exchange before this one -- assignments are due october 1st, but if we get our fic done before that, can we turn it in early? and will it be posted then or will it be posted october 1st? how does it work?

Hi! Yes, you can turn your fic in early, but it won’t actually be posted until we approve it. We won’t begin posting any fics until everyone’s fic has been turned in (which will hopefully be by October 1st, but we understand that life happens and sometimes things get in the way). Once everyone’s fic is submitted, we’ll begin posting, both on ao3 and by making little posts on tumblr for each fic for people to like and reblog. We also won’t reveal authors until every fic has been posted.

Once we’ve got a decent number of people, we’ll make a post listing out everything.
