Roses are red, Violets are blue, Your wanderer is lonely, And so are you.

Orchids are white, Ghost ones are rare, An air is clean, And so is your hair.

Magnolia grows, With buds like eggs, Slices are thin, And so are your legs.

Sunflowers reach, Up to the skies, The picture is big, And so are your eyes.

Foxgloves in hedges, Surround the farms, A thread is slender, And so are your arms.

Daisies are pretty, Daffies have style, Exceptions are rare, And so is your smile.

A moon is beautiful, Just like you.

A Haiku

Happy wintertime when a tsetse, big fly flies watching the goldfish

Oh, the onrush of loving waves,

I drown with gratitude in their wake.

The unleashing of words, ripping free

Like moths towards a light, birds from a cage

Freedom, terrifying freedom,

And the hushing touch, of hearing you say,

“I’m flying too,

It’s okay.”

Treetops line the horizon

Orange, yellow, blue

machine-God rambles incessantly into abyss paranoid about technological momentum ready to evoke electroconvulsive miasma & make clean slates of population today anxious about beanstalk structure desperate endeavor to circumvent gasses permitted until altitude becomes concern & then being sent netherwards insurrection arising from pandemonium projectiles arcing from secondary citadel immense mouth suddenly flapping open regurgitating occupants towards infinite combusting as it penetrates mesosphere humbled to return home...

Burning Away

Every day I’m less in love with what I was in love with before Every day I’m taking less and that’s making me live more

Every day I’m more in love with what I overlooked before

Every day I’m chipping away at the plastic draped over my core

Every day I’m less susceptible to what I bowed to before

Every day I’m finding new ways to honour all that I adore

Every day I’m coming to leave the life I’ve been living before

Every day I’m learning to praise the weak and the hurting and poor

Every day I’m coming to find the world that was hidden before

Every day I’m pouring myself into the world’s ultimate war

Every day I’m succeeding at kindness that I have failed at before

Every day I’m building my life according to secret folklore

Every day I’m falling much deeper in love than I was in before

Every day I’m finding a way to echo the wild tiger’s roar

Every day I’m burning away the person that I was before

Anesthetic

I keep on 

      numbing 

my mind 

      body 

      soul 

and  

      blocking 

out  

      thoughts 

and  

      feelings 

and it’s getting 

       in the way

Your Love Is Like a Brass Orchid

beautiful

yet cold

to the touch

unyielding

yet flowing

outward

in patterns

that unfold

there is no

fragility here

simply

strength

forged by

fire and

consequences

it would break

anyone else

but the partner

endures

recognizing

a kindred

spirit

Pouring golden light like honeyed flame.

Crimson doused in the glory of the name

Of sun-set, son of sunrise. Beloved catastrophe

Of everyone who ever met him, even me.

So, darkness follows, where he goes shadows grow.

That doesn’t mean he’s evil. Nobody has to know.

Dusk creeps, then night falls; he’s gone all at once.

Alone in the darkness is the opposite of what I want.

Music in my bones.

My hands beg for your shoulders,

My lips beg for your ear,

So that I could whisper,

Every aspiration, song, fire,

That you inspire.

Ghost Fighter

there's an empty chair

where you used to sit

I try not to look at it

but I still hear your laugh

your things are stored

in a box in the closet

but I know you won't

be back for them

don't ask me why

I hang on to them

there are enough

ghosts of you

to haunt me

for a lifetime

Waking from a supermarket dream,

Just to witness visions of tragedy.

I try to find insight inside my screen

Only to feel crushed by what I see.

Blood in the streets, plus the hunger,

And thirst. I wonder if we’re doomed.

I’m drowning in the undiscovered,

Trapped in endless quiet afternoons.
