my goal in life is to be one of those niche mysterious celebrities that is used as a pfp by teenage girls like nailea devora, alana champion, alexa demie, and cindy kimberly. like no one knows much about them other than the fact that theyre gorgeous and have connections

Dear God, please return me to my [redacted]-year-old self at the start of 2012 (with no bad Rumplestiltskin repercussions) so that I can redo the past 14 years the way I wish I had. ππ½π₯Ί
I promise to be very charitable with the money I'll have! ππ½π₯Ή
Absolutely blown away.
Fake fan for taking this long to listen to this masterpiece.

The eyes of icons.
The current dumbass "discourse" around Olivia's current style has made realize... Men never get this shit. Men are never told they can't dress a certain way once they hit a certain age, they're never told their clothes are too "childlike" (as if fashion has an age-range π), they're never told they're "pedo-baiting" simply by wearing clothing they enjoy. (The "pedo-baiting" bullshit doesn't even make sense because actual pedophilias want children, not women in frilly dresses. π«©)
And then it hit me: Most things that are criticized as "childish" and "immature" are feminine and girly things. Think about it β Pink, pastel colors, dolls, girly/"frilly" clothing, even the (usually adult-content-filled) Romantasy book genre... things are all thinga that women are bashed for liking, that we're told we're being immature and stupid for enjoying.
Feminine and girly things aren't taken seriously in our society, so they're labeled as "childish," "immature," and stupid.
This entire "discourse" is a blend of misogyny, ageism, and (often) ableism.
