So apparently I’m 3 months into Uni already only another six to go before the summer! I’m behind already but can’t be helped when we moved house and everyone in the household has been ill. I have made a good start to the year though with the first assignment results back I’m really pleased with what I have achieved so far this year

It can be really tough sometimes. There are a lot more variables when you have a family to worry about. Do you have a good relationship with your teachers and the administration? In my experience (which was college with up to 50 students/class) many of the teachers were quite reasonable about giving extensions and exemptions. What I think helped was asking them for it asap, hopefully at least a day ahead of time. All the best, and wish you luck!

Hello, Tumblr!

My name is Tony and I was a 40-year-old who went back to school for marketing so I could do a career pivot out of the world of manufacturing into the world of sales. The adjustment was like a kick in the teeth; however, it ended well with me having a 92% average. In my last semester (Fall 2018), I created a Twitter channel where I started posting about strategies that I used that seemed directly linked to my success. The channel has done quite well with a lot of organic growth & I have expanded to Instagram, and as of today, Tumblr.  (I find the lack of character limit a real breather...)

WHAT TO EXPECT...

CONTENT. I’ll post a few of my Pro Tips that will be useful for mature students, or anybody going into college/university.

STORIES: I’ll share stories from my own experience and that of our community. I would also love to hear your story too, because many times it feels like you’re alone - when you are not.

COMMUNITY: Hopefully there will be lots of other content, so as a community we can all overcome this together.
