A good dosage to try when you are new to psychedelics would be:

50 micrograms of LSD

1 gram of dried psilocybe cubensis mushrooms

The #1 rule of psychedelics is: You can always eat more later on, but you can never eat less.

and it’s best to start small, and work your way up if you decide you want to see deeper.

For setting:

When new to tripping it is best to trip somewhere you feel comfortable and safe, as outer stimuli can be amplified. For that reason forests or homes are preferred over big cities. We have personally tried tripping in a major metropolis a few times and it was interesting in the way that you can view a big city as a deeply populated network of human organisms.

Some of these deeply populated networks are advantageous in the amount of “goods” they produce, but repercussions of dense human populations are noticed as well.

The stimuli can also be somewhat overwhelming in huge cities.

The best single tip we can give before entering into the psychedelic world, is that the psychedelic world is the real world, just amplified. And it is the same world, viewed without the filter present in our minds. At times, that alone can be strange.
