Thumbprint cookies

✰ • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)

✰• ½ cup sugar

✰• 1 egg

✰• 1 tsp vanilla extract

✰• 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

✰• ¼ tsp baking powder

✰• ¼ tsp salt

✰ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)

✰ Cream butter + sugar until fluffy

✰ Mix in egg and vanilla

✰ Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt

✰ Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet

✰ Press a thumb (or spoon) into the center

✰ Fill each indent with about 1 tsp jelly

✰ Bake 10 to 13 minutes

✰ Cool before moving
