If NYC is the city that never sleeps, SF is the city that starts drinking at 2pm, falls asleep by 11 & then rolls into work wearing flannel.

multiply by 49 for living in san francisco, though... right?
paige and i made a trip to north beach to decompress after a long weekend of work. the saloon was the the best place to park it. this blues bar has been around for over 150 years and is knows for its amazing live music. we can now vouch for it, it was amazing.
king perkoff band is who we watched and they put on a show. the saloon feels like a bar that everyone knows each other and just wants to have some fun, ben perkoff is the man to make that happen. perkoff is the "king" in the king perkoff band and it is somewhat of a family affair with his uncle on the on the keyboard and cousin on the sax.
the band keeps with the tradition of "walking the bar." though it doesn't mean actually walking on the bar, this guy made that happen. the walk around the bar/on the bar was not done by the sax (which is the norm), but the bass guitarist did a great job walking from one side to the other only to end by jumping off the bar and landing on his knees in the middle of the dance floor to finish his solo, again great show.
cant wait for next sunday... only seven more days...
delicious.
