Tweets I Would Have Sent

My second trip to Outside Lands was pretty stellar. If I hadn't been so immersed in the music, I would have spent more time tweeting about the music immersion. Here's a quick recap through tweets I would have sent.

Day 1

Tennis: I'm so glad that we have a commonality of wearing loafers, however your bass was too loud. 

Of Monsters & Men: Seriously so amazing. Better than I could have imagined. Second favorite of the whole show.

Justice: Killer dance party & stage setup. 

Day 2

Explosions in the Sky: More like explosions in my mind. 

Passion Pit: Uber disappointed. Sorry bros, but you need a smaller venue and night. 

Sigur Ros: Shredded the guitar with his bow. So amazed. 

Day 3

Trampled by Turtles: Love me some bluegrass played by men who know how to play their instruments.

Regina Spektor: How I have listened to you since high school & never seen you? As good as the first time I listened. Fave, fo sho. 

Skrillex: Have to admit, didn't really want to see you but you killed it. Perfect end to the weekend.

Oy, after a month long hiatus, I'm finally back. It's been a busy few weeks, with lots of traveling, eating, decorating and general merriment. A few highlights include:

Just like a modern day version of A River Runs Through It (at a concrete pond in Golden Gate Park, with no Brad Pitt), Meg and I perfected (began) our fly fishing skills last weekend.

Being sick makes me homesick. I think I called and talked to my mom every day last week. I typically listen to Band of Horses on repeat when I'm feeling homesick. Ironically, the video above is filmed in SF. Note to self, you are at one of your homes.

I read first read this book when I was in high school and, like the generations of youth before me, I couldn't help but relate. Here's hoping the movie lives up to the hype.
