Experimenting with 'Difference' blend mode, inverting and having fun with it. I won't gonna say designing but it's quite inspiring to see accidental combination and colliding of colors

I've been thinking about applying lighting on abstract texture but it's not really working with those pale brushworks... It has to be dark but also 'thin'? I'm working on it.

I don't like to just leave Pinterest links as source but it seems there's no other post or blog which I can find...

So, it was about simplification I wanted to achieve. It always reminds me that the simplification doesn't necessary mean 'simple' in term of drawing process. The preciseness is what I keep missing. The idea between intuitive and simplification keep conflicting in my mind while doing this... More time I need to take for individual works.

Kid's sleeping

I gotta figure out how I should paint clothes(and maybe greeneries too) in this style. I got the idea on flesh. However, in every other part is it really inconsistent about stylization.

Exploring with my custom watercolor brush, mainly focused on imitating granulation effect. It shows some progress but still there's some jarring parts disturbing me...

I used my own photo here as you might guessed. I think I should do more of this since I haven't done REAL studies these days.

Btw those two kids I regularly drawing might be my main casts will keep showing in future images. I really adore them as my children or cousins. 💛

back to my comfort zone...

It's really annoying that I have to compress every image for Tumblr not being able to auto-convert things with pity size capacity for upload while even this simple drawing with color is 13mb. 😥
