{25th July 2015 - Our enchanted wedding day, that exceeded all my dreams! And to our talented friend who caught it all on film, THANK YOU once again!}
The biggest moments in our love story so far ♡∞
BTS - Wedding decorations at Skerike Bygdegård, the venue where we had the greatest party of our lives, located in Västerås, SWEDEN.
I love to make playlists! And I LOVE how music can help you remember special moments in life. So, during our two year engagement, I made a few playlists for the upcoming wedding day.
This is the playlist {The Boy I’m Gonna Marry} that I, and my maids + my oldest little sister listened to while we got our makeup and hairdos done.
Jag Är Din Bäste Vän
Getting ready with my bridesmaids.
Goin’ To The Chapel And We’re Gonna Get Married
My siblings helped us to hand out the information about what’s going to happen during the wedding ceremony, to all the guests.
The ceremony started at 1pm/13:00.
When the clock was between 12:45 and 12:50 (I guess, don’t remember exactly) we couldn’t wait anymore! My mom, two of my bridesmaids, Hanna & Razia and I went down to the church by car from the venue.
The other two bridesmaids were already down at the church. Because Rebecka was also one of our hosts and Maria was going to sing a solo during the ceremony. And my siblings had gone down there with my dad earlier as well.
There were still a few people outside the church, so we hide in the car for a little while. When it was less than 5 minutes left I got out of the car.
My dad was walking very fast down to the car and said that we needed to hurry!
I almost forgot about my bouquet in the trunk of the car!
Razia tried to help me get the plastic bag with water for the stem off, but it was too hard to tear of. The church bells started to ring.
My dad was now by our side and he tore the bag off.
And then we ran up to the church, just in time!
If you know me, to be late is nothing new from my side, and it’s so funny that it almost happened on the biggest day of my life as well hahah
My dad said that the wedding couldn’t really begin before the bride was there anyhow hah
Fotograf från Västerås som gärna åker land och rike runt för att träffa just er. Mitt hjärta klappar lite extra för barn och bröllop.
📷 Fotograf Mathilda, the photographer that we hired to take our wedding portraits, and capture the wedding ceremony for us. She definitely do have a great talent to capture who you are as a couple.
The Wedding Ceremony Part 1.
Processional: Can You Feel The Love Tonight - Elton John
{Instrumental version, played beautifully by Sebastian’s uncle, aunt and cousin.}
The Wedding Ceremony Part 2.
Processional: Part Of Your World - Alan Menken & Howard Ashman
{Instrumental version, played beautifully by Sebastian’s uncle, aunt and cousin.}
I remember that I was glimpsing at the flower girls when they were walking down the church ail. I also took a glimpse at Sebastian behind the church doors. I think he saw me for a second but I don’t really know for sure. My heart was beating so fast. I just smiled.
It was one of my child dreams that came true when I walked down the church ail with my pappa. It’s not a Swedish tradition to walk down the ail with your dad. In Sweden it’s a custom to walk down the ail with your partner both in the beginning of the wedding ceremony as well as the end of it.
But it was more the moment when I got to hug my pappa before walking up to the altar with my husband to be, that I’ve dreamed about. Just like in the end of the little mermaid, when Ariel hugs her dad Triton and says “Jag älskar dig pappa”/”I love you dad”, I got to do it for real with my pappa! It was so wonderful to say those words to him, and then walk up with Sebastian by my side❣
This is the playlist {Chapel of Love} that includes all the music that was performed live by musicians, a singing duo, and two soloists during our wedding ceremony.
The Wedding Ceremony Part 3.
{Du och Jag ♥ Varje Dag}
We got married in a beautiful old church (Skerike Kyrka) in Västerås, SWEDEN. The church is located not far from Vallby where I grew up, approximately 15min if you go by bike. It’s not far from the ski-hill Vedbobacken, where we got engaged as well. And Sebastian’s parents were married in the same church. It felt like it connected both our families in some beautiful way when we chose Skerike Kyrka as the church we wanted to get married in.
Sebastians older sister read 1 Corinthians 13:13. And his little sister was one of his groomsmen.
The Wedding Ceremony Part 4.
Solos: Grow Old With Me - Micadelia You’re My Best Friend - The Once
Recessional: What A Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong {Instrumental version played by Sebastians cousin.}
We are MARRIED!! ♡∞
