You were at y/f/n's house, getting ready to go to Gov Ball.
"have you seen my vs bra?" you yell to your friend who's in the bathroom blow drying her hair.
your friend turns the hair dryer off and comes over to you. you were in her room doing your makeup at her vanity.
"I swear it's somewhere in here" she says while digging through her closet.
as you do your mascara you see her reflection in the mirror as she turns around and throws the bra on the bed behind you.
"thanks babe" you say while focusing on finishing your lashes and eyeliner.
after you both get ready, you take some pictures and call an uber to the festival.
you guys arrive at the festival and head straight to The Grove Stage to see Snow Strippers perform. you were dancing with your friend and having so much fun that you didn't even notice you were being pushed deeper into the croud.
they start playing "It's a Dream" and a huge mosh pit opens up right next to you. at this point, your friend was nowhere to be seen and you are in the pit being hit from every side by the other fans.
you panic and feel like passing out when you suddenly feel someone's arms wrap around you and pull you back and out of the crowd. you look down and see the person is wearing a pair of black and red leather gloves.
when you're finally out of the crowd you turn to the person to thank them and when your eyes meet you are stunned. the person wasn't just anyone. it was Hollis. 2hollis.
your jaw drops but you snap out of it quickly, wiping some sweat off your forehead.
"are you okay pretty? what's your name?" he finally breaks the thick and awkward silence, the music behind you completely forgotten.
"yea... I guess I am now... my name's y/n." you slur out trying not to blush too much while looking at him.
"thank you for helping me back there" you finally look away, gathering yourself and pointing to the crowd.
"no problem at all. you were kind of shaky out there and I had to help however I could." he looks at his shoes while adjusting his belt.
"would you like to come backstage to my set? It starts in a few minutes" you glance at him and he's looking at you with puppy dog eyes.
"omg are you serious? hell yeah I would." in a flash, you remember that your friend is still in the crowd.
"what's wrong?" he looks at you worriedly.
"my friend is still in there... I forgot about her, fuck, I'm sorry Hollis, I need to find her first"
he pulls two vip passes out of the back pocket of his dark jeans and puts one of them around your neck gently, pulling your hair out of the band of it.
"I'm heading to the main stage. go find your friend, give this to her and come back stage together." he looks at you for permission and you nod as he stuffs the other pass in your bra.
you run back in the crowd, trying to ignore the warm feeling in your chest. you spot your friend a moment later and you wave her down.
y/f/n runs up to you and you tell her everything that happened between you and Hollis while taking the pass out of your bra and handing it to her.
"bitch, say you swear. that's so fucking hot." she says with the biggest smile on her face.
you guys head to the main stage and as you try to get in the backstage area, a security officer stops you and tells you you aren't welcome in. you argue with him but he doesn't back down.
the commotion attracts the attention of another artist that was there to watch the show, Conceal, or better known as Ryan.
"yo, what's going on here?" he looks at the two of you, his eyes lingering on your friend.
"I got it from here, you can go" he dismisses the guard.
you begin shoving your pass in his face and explaining that Hollis wanted you there to watch him.
"you're y/n right?" he says, gazing at your friend every now and then.
"Holli told me he was expecting you. come in." he opens the gate and you rush in while holding your friends hand.
Ryan catches up to you guys and pulls her aside to talk to her. you eavesdrop on their conversation and y/f/n ends up exchanging numbers with him and laughing at his jokes as she signalled to you to go ahead without her.
you reach the back stage and pull out your phone to record. Hollis was already on stage performing "sidekick". he looks back to assure himself that you are there and when he sees you he smiles and makes a heart with his hands. you get flustered and blow a kiss towards him.
the show comes to an end and you become aware of the fact that you have been stuck in a trance just watching and recording him. he comes up to you and grabs your arm making you snap out of it.
you see the excitement glimmer in his eyes.
"you were absolutely amazing Holli!" you exclaim while hugging him.
"you think so pretty?" he looks you in your eyes intensely like he would kiss you in that moment. you look away attempting to hide your blushing cheeks. you barely knew him. this was oh so wrong but it felt so right at the same time.
he tilts your chin towards him, his gloved leather hand smooth against your skin.
"look at me when I talk to you princess." he says in a lower tone, different than the excited one before.
the moment your eyes lock, you can't help it anymore and it seems like he can't either. you both lean in and kiss each other passionately. his hand goes to gently grip the back of your neck as the other one rests on your waist giving it a little greedy squeeze.
when you pull away you just stand there looking into each others eyes.
"you are so pretty I wanna get to know you fr. I'm so serious about you." his grip on your waist intensifies as if you were going to disappear.
you pull out your phone, open the contacts app and hand it to him.
"put your number in my phone so we can keep in touch" you say dryly, still in awe from the kiss and the way his hands moved on your body.
after he's done he puts your phone in your back pocket as he pulls you against his chest. Hollis then takes your hand gently like it was ready to break and you find your friend making out with Ryan on some random couch.
you and him both start laughing hysterically which catches their attention and they stop their interaction looking embarrassed.
"y/f/n we need to go... it's getting late and I know you're tired." you say with an exhausted smile on your face from all the laughing earlier.
"you're right, fuck, uhhh..." she turns to Ryan awkwardly trying not to smile too much.
"I'll see you soon right?" he asks her, a hint of worry in his tone.
"hell yeah you will boy." she says while leaning down to press a soft kiss to his lips.
you say your goodbyes to both of them, Hollis hugging and kissing you one last time as he lets you go until the next time.
the uber home is dreadful but the gossip session you had with your friend made up for it big time.
you both got home, washed up, scrolled on your phones for a while and headed to bed, the burnout making it easy to fall right asleep.
