a little sad that Johnny Truant’s mostly known for the sex scenes in House of Leaves. he’s so much more than that. one of his first footnotes starts with him complaining that his shower has no hot water and he then admits to adding in the detail of the water heater in The Navidson Record due to it. he interrupts his swooning over Thumper to tell the reader to climb into a microwave if they don’t like his swooning. he also does an imagine scenario where he decapitates his boss’ head and then uses it to go bowling. all because his boss insulted his art

reading House of Leaves rn and a lot of people could learn from Johnny Truant. for ab the first half of the book this guy is hallucinating and losing his mind and he STILL shows up to work. not only that but he even makes time to do drugs and have wild sex. all while reading a haunted ass ye olde ARG.
