This space is dedicated mainly to Fanfic Recommendations for the Bakugou Katsuki/Todoroki Shouto pairing of the My Hero Academia fandom.

It’s not meant to be a comprehensive catalogue of everything ever written (AO3 is already there for that), but a space curated by fans for fans to help find content they enjoy. The fanfiction scene thrives on community interaction, so participate by writing, commenting, recommending. 

It aims to host the following TDBK/BKTD content:

(1) Fanfic Index (organized by tags) and  Masterlists  (organized by themes) - for ease of reference, I set up an AO3 Collection to collect all these recommendations in a single place

Other than TDBK/BKTD content the Library will have some shelves with:

(1) OT3/ Todobakudeku fics

(2) OT4 fics that feature TDBK as an important component

(3) Shouto-centric fics 

Please note that this is my space. Minors are welcome to enter the library, but please note that some fics may have content that is for adults. Learn about AO3 Ratings, AO3 tags to avoid content you are not ready for. I will try to use the 🔞 icon to warn of possible mature content. But ultimately, you are the curator of your own fandom experience. 

Community is important, so please feel free to submit your own recommendations (check out the guidelines first!), using the ask box. You can also suggest additions to existing masterlists, using the ask box or by contacting me on IM.

Todobaku fic where Shoto and Katsuki have been in a secret situationship since their first year at UA, they both knew being "out" wasn't really an option for them, so they made it work. All without expressing how they really felt for each other.

They officially end it on what seemed like an unimportant day when they're both 19. Katsuki tells Shoto he doesn't want to be a secret anymore, to which Shoto tells him being out isn't an option. They painfully go their separate ways.

Katsuki comes out a year later during an interview, he never explicitly stated it, more so made a comment regarding how his attraction to people doesn't change the fact that he is a damn good hero. Most people take it pretty well. Shoto does not. It was that easy, yet he lost him because of it.

Shoto tries not to interact with Katsuki if he can help it. He avoids social media so he doesn't have to see him, and he moved cities to try and avoid teaming up with him. Hell, he moved his hero agency to avoid the man. This worked for a while, until it didn't.

About 3 and a half years after they ended things, they get put on a mission together. Just the 2 of them.

Other than feeling a little embarrassed about the memory of a teenage him, none of it affected Katsuki after UA. The crushes never reappeared; the friendships remained strong despite diverging paths. They’ve all been busy with careers to build and adulthood to navigate. There hasn’t been much time for anything to reignite even if Katsuki wanted it to. He hasn’t really had a break in eight goddamn years to even think about any of that shit.
