2X4 BASH Starving Artists Festival -- 2017

Hey everyone, back from a long hiatus from Tumblr. How would people feel about #resurrectingstarvingartists? 

Starving Artists is a series of one act plays written and produced by the 2X4 BASH company. I will be working it into the calendar, so please notify 2X4 BASH via email, FB, or IG whether you are interested!

Don’t know what to write? That’s okay. Playwriting workshops will be scheduled sometime in the season; announcements will be made based on interest in this festival!

Starving Artists Workshop

The Starving Artists Playwright Fest is a great opportunity for Western Stage company members between the ages of 18 and 29 to spread their creative butter over the crispy wheat toast of theatre. All you have to do is write a ten-minute play, preferably about young adult life ;) Want to write but don't have ideas? Have ideas but don't know how to implement them? Have something written but can't finish? Have a full ten-minute play but want constructive criticism? Fret not, we have a solution. We're hosting a writing workshop in the studio theatre free of charge! Bring us whatever you've got; even if it's still in your noggin, we want it!

1) Where are you from?

Los Angeles

2) What are you doing in the BASH?

I am acting in No Es Un Play

3) How did you first hear about the BASH?

I believe a bird told me..

4) Why do you do theater?

I enjoy the stress of memorizing lines, and having my evenings swamped by rehearsals! Its feels good!

5) If I weren't doing theater, I’d be:

I would be doing other things..

6) What do you hope to learn this summer with 2x4BASH?

I believe there is a lot to learn about every theater production; in this production I am hoping to better my craft as an actor.

7) Who in the theatre/entertainment industry do you look up to? good question... i am not a tall person so most likely i would look up to a lot of them.

9) Where will I be able to see you/your work when I come to the BASH this year?

By the way, Hartnell students, did you know you can attend any 2x4 or Western Stage performance once for FREE?
