The 30 days project

On Jan 29 2013 I turned the ripe old age of 30. I didn't have a great big party or do any other type of special thing to celebrate what most people see as a momentous occasion. Instead, I decided to do something different. So, for the next year, I will attempt to complete one thing every day for 30 days. When the 30 days are up, I will start a new 30 day project. Will I fail miserably or will I actually follow through on this crazy idea?

Days 2-4 This is what I have so far. After 3 days I barely have half a crayon. And I need to make five more of these. Hmmm. I think it might be slow going because I'm kind of getting acquainted with the pattern. I had to frog a few rows a few times because I didn't quite understand some of the directions at first. Hopefully I can pump out the rest of the crayons much quicker! I really really want to be able to finish his project in 30 days!

Short break while I let life happen

Soooo....I have to take a short break from my current project. I've been getting my house ready for my niece's second birthday party. I will resume my crocheting on Sunday. I've stretched my body to it's limit this week, so I feel its better to take a few days off rather than burnout in a huge glorious fireball.

Day 1: the fun begins So far I have completed 1/2 butt of crayon. I need to get cracking because I have to make 6 crayons!

Yeah month 1 is finished!!! Can’t wait to start my next project. I really had fun doing this, but I think it may be a while before I take another self portrait style pic. Taking pictures of yourself is OVER!

Day 29: Yo Gabba Gabba! Haha brobee is so cute! My dad and I went to downtown to get a piñata for my niece's birthday party. First we tried to find a dog piñata, but surprisingly dogs aren't very common in piñata world. They had el Chavo de ocho, tequila, elephants, cookie monster, but no freakn' dogs. Luckily the kid likes yo gabba gabba.

Day 28: Pre-spring cleaning?

Getting the house ready for a baby party! I can’t wait till ela sees all the doggie decorations we made for her.

So my second project is coming up pretty soon and I've decided to make a crochet blanket. I will be working on it a little everyday as there is no way I can crochet a finished project every day for a month. I'm super exited for this and also super excited of stopping the selfies. There have been a few hiccups with trying to do something every day, but since I'm only reporting to myself, I don't think I have to worry to much about being super consistent.

Regularly scheduled pictures of myself will resume in a day or two. Been working long days and only have enough energy to play with the dogs before relaxing for the night.

Day 25: Powers out! Thank you fire at some SoCal Edison substation for giving me a photo op for my lil' project. Today was pretty fun. Up at 4am to see my husband off to Oakland, saw a coyote running down the street in front of my house 5 min later. Reawakened by an early morning earthquake. Finally got to go to Daiso. Had fun with my sis while the power was out. What an eventful day!

Day 24: At ikea Ok so I didn't really take this picture today. I was going to take my picture at my parents house, but I was having so much fun talking to my siblings and watching pajanimals with my niece that I forgot. And I didn't want to miss another day so I had to dig into the archives. It is what it is. 30 days are almost up, and I still have 11 months of this shit to go. What did I get myself into?
