Why do you draw the characters in different outfits from canon? - I like to have fun :3 okay but to be real it started over 3 getting dressed up by me and me saying he won't get his OG outfit back until he and 4 become canon and it ended up spreading to others
Will you draw my oc? - No, sorry, I've been used in ways before where it's hard to gather motivation to draw for other people like that, sorry
Do you take requests? - nope, maybe I'll do commissions one day but Idk if many people would actually be interested in that
What do you ship? - hitshow (WPNZ/Puzzles) is a new addition! other than that I still do enjoy marbob, 34, marware and saikony a whole lot, they are some of my favourites. I do like a lot of others. Though a few I'm not fond of being Whimpu x Saiko (stuff I've seen with it handled Saiko's character in a way I'm deeply uncomfy with) and Saitari (I'm just a hater tbh) and bomg1 (I'm just a hater, once again). I've been an SMG4 viewer for years but back then, I've never thought of participating in the fandom myself. Didn't exactly know why, maybe I thought "if I show my passion, would I do it right?" But I had ideas, ramblings. So much I wanted to show, to say, and I still stalled behind that line. Then one day, I crossed it.
Today is the anniversary of this tumblr and me joining the SMG4 fandom. Never could've I imagined that after posting my first ever theory would truly change my life. I made more theories. Reviewed episodes, shared my ramblings. Created movie bingo, wrote fics.
Before I knew it, I became co-CEO of the Goop!4 theory with good pal Funkii. Wrote my Episode Concept series and AUs. Reported news for SMG4 Tumblr community. Got to meet some of the Team working on the show. So, so many things I've done never thought I could. I'll admit: there have been rocky moments along the way, few really tested my will and resilience. Despite it all, never once I regretted my choice in joining and, if anything, those moments made me better. Proved of who I am. And now, here I am one year after crossing that line. It's thanks to each and every one of you who have been on this journey with me.
To the ramblers, theorists and the silly people that stumbled across my mind palace: thank you for being you! Just by enjoying my ramblings or dropping an ask in my inbox. Simply, I hoped I could bring a bit of positivity to your day. Sometimes I questioned whether I worded things right or if what I post was worth it, but yall have been absolutely incredible, proving me wrong 🧡 I received comments liking my work, fanart that I placed on my fridge (of my intro post). It's unbelievable and frankly touching, it's still hard for me to wrap my head around; I'm just a silly guy. I saw the creation of Glitch Productions from the ground up, have been there cheering for Meta Runner and Sunset Paradise. As I have dubbed it as my "Saturday Morning Cartoon (TM)", this show holds a special place in my heart 💙 I wouldn't be able to imagine my life without it, so thank you!!

I liked to turn the back of my hand to the screen, right after it was turned off, and pet the static with the little hairs on the backs of my fingers. It felt soft and fluffy.
one of the reasons CRTs are such a hotbed of glitch videography is that unlike modern monitors that block irregular signals, CRTs don't have an opinion about the signal you feed into them. they will display anything. and if you've ever done glitch work with a video modulator or such, you know what it's like negotiating with a living beast. the images you can get are often unpredictable and impossible to reproduce even with the same settings on your hardware, because it's just electricity. there is something magical and strange about the cathode ray tube and when you play with them enough you really remember why The Ring fucked people up so bad. samara climbing out of an HD flat screen is a laughable image; but her climbing out of an old school boob tube? yeah man, i believe it. there's fucking demons in that thing
I did see Toomp release and was thinking of doing something because I did have this render idea but also I'm. locked into something else which involves a rather heavy map that FOR SOME STUPID FUCKING REASON HAS 2176 SEPARATE MATERIALS
man what if someone wrote this super super angsty gunshow (though honeslty more about their relationship and less about romance) fanfic where Puzzles goes through the thinking on how he can make his besties be his besties again and he comes to conclusion that he needs to change but he does this in a really painful way in that it's. it's just bad for him and it time and time again highlights all his insecurities, maybe would include some body horror as he tries to like, reprogram himself, trying so so many things
and it getting to a very much self destructive point like. physically. like he's ruining himself
and so he's in this alley, an absolute mess, honestly barely even conscious as he's exhausted from all that he tried and like WPNZ and Toomp while walking around would find him and yknow
anger fills WPNZ but he's like. grown. he's better than to beat up someone who is already beaten enough
n it would begin to like rain and they would be like. okay maybe a little kindness and would pull him to shelter and leave
and then a Puzzles later awaking from the exhaustion induced sleep feeling sort of warm like something magical happened or whatever
god it's so hard to exactly put down the themes I'm trying to get across here ahhhhhh like it is kinda gay but you wouldn't get it based on this description n Idk how to like convey it better cuz like. it's also just not direct
it's like the feeling of like, with WPNZ bc with Puzzles it's obviously "I'd ruin myself beyond death for another chance with you" which. yes
while with WPNZ it's like "I hate you. I hate what you did. because I enjoyed it so much. sometimes I fantasize about a world where you meant everything and I mourn what I never even had. And yet when I see you, I can't help but feel some sweetness in the bitter image you give me. I hate that I don't want to see you go despite everything, or if I'll see you go, it WILL be by my own hands and not by you taking it out on yourself"

If we're gonna have parallels for 4 and Puzzles, I gotta do it for 3 and WPNZ, even if it isn't 100% one-to-one as our local showmen are. More so bc of being ✨destined partners✨
Heavily inspired by WPNZ's eyes change color by strong emotions, I wanted 3 to have a similar thing, only in terms of showing his true self. Basically if the "3's Color Subtitles" theory. Within the same concept:
4 earning his heterochromia by accepting his 2 sides -> color change becoming permanent as a reminder of who he is
3 risked everything to show his true and vulnerable side to save 4 -> color change switch from red to yellow the more his true self expresses
Then, there's the whole goop!4 tie in and how 3's corrupted form in IGBP by the red goo with yellow eyes, but that's pretty predictable from me specifically lmao
okay so, like I said in comments, I wanna share big thoughts as I was looking at this cuz like
it's very very interesting as a royal scientist said once or something like that
okay so like one of the things is that it really feels like foils upon foils moment
because you have 4, someone who treats his perfectionism as a weakness and his other side, the one that loves his friends, the compassionate part of him that tries so hard the strength and I BET he feels this pretty hard these days
meanwhile you have Puzzles, who treats her perfectionism side with love and care because it was the only thing that ever yieded anything for her and the side she treats as weakness, the one that yielded nothing in her life so far. but I feel like the movie and the leggy arc she had was what cracked it. I think she wants to nurture that side of her now since nobody else did. now on how she might, you could get a twisted mix of her serious attachment and deranged perfectionism
meanwhile. 3 and WPNZ so like. listen. as soon as you mentioned the yellow/gold and red thing they both have going on? listen. listen.
WPNZ's eyes don't go red at time when he's happy, he is like- almost like in an altered state of mind, like a part of him taking over, one that he comes to sort of well- dislike. and also a vulnerable side. and then the overconfident pick on side, the yellow, the one that forms connections. and the red that destroys them
then you have 3, who had experienced power unimagined before (yes I'm talking about godbox) a power he experienced, I'd argue, during his redemption. a side he for sure came to dislike, the one that wants to be something so badly, a side that if it takes over he does bad bad things he wouldn't otherwise, because he's really not as mean as he makes you want to believe (he's also only really mean for the bit, can't convince me otherwise)
and his red side, the one that survived things and came back stronger because of positive reinforcements he managed to get on his way to becoming someone who is (mainly) a joy to have around
so a yellow side that seeks to destroy, the red side that wants to create and keep them instead
but unlike with Puzzles and 4, these are more meshed together for both WPNZ and 3, in so many of their little interactions, both is so integrated, their nature that's unmutable, a part of them they can't therapy themselves out of. a part of them they learn to live with and become better for it

And it's the thing, I don't blame Meggy here, and never have. She really tried to help out, hoping that there would be change. But ultimately, Puzzles made his choice and this was a result. Broken the one condition Meggy had, no tricks or games. This only proven what 4 has been telling them all. (I'll definitely talk about this more, are you kidding me /lh)

phew, at least WPNZ got himself and Toomp out of there. And that's the thing, he is more than just "going into the fight guns blazing"; he's an experience fighter. While he evaluated himself being able to stand a chance against the Death Cube, he knows that the better choice is to retreat. This isn't just taking care of himself anymore, it's worrying for someone else, that being Toomp. Probably hasn't done that since Karen.

Puzzles was right: WPNZ truly was a star in this movie, and just as these two have paralleled each other many times before, they're left broken, alone rain. But what's truly painful, it's that they lost their family. People who have they trusted.
And, here is Puzzles with a single bullet, now a reminder of great regret. Really mirrors how Karen was given the grenade ring from WPNZ and how she regrets being associated with him at all.

So, you're probably wondering how I feel after watching the premiere, and I can only describe it as this:

alright, let's get real this time. Wow, just wow. This was an amazing movie, it might even surpass SOTC!! I've told yall from time to time that if you managed to get me emotional, you deserve appreciation and praise bc ay caray.... And even more if I end up speechless afterward. Now, that's a feat.
Can we talk about the story? We gotta talk about the story!!
Throughout this whole arc, it brought some topics into discussion. Redemption. The complex feelings one can have for another due to their wrongdoing. The law itself (heh, who would've thought that would happen). But most of all, the message that's emphasized not only in this arc, it's one of the biggest messages in the entire show:
The choice and the truth.
The truth, it's absolute. It's the only thing that exists in a black and white view. What people choose to do with it and how they perceive it, now that's within its shades of gray. I'll give you an example, with this arc as a matter of fact:
The truth? Puzzles tricked everyone for his plans to go exactly how he wanted them to be.
It doesn't seem that black and white tho, right? Stubborn and afraid of being alone again, Puzzles wanted to have Leggy, or Meggy by extension, to be his friend again. In his eyes, "performing" was the only way people would like him, that he was any worth. He'd hoped his first ever friendship wasn't completely over, and was indeed conflicted about his feelings toward WPNZ and Toomp. But in the end, he made the choices he made, despite getting so many chances to redeem himself, and he was left alone in the rain, only a reminder of what he did to prevent that truth from coming out.
The truth didn't change.
Then there was Meggy, who believed in his redemption. It's within her character, it's a part of her that can see the good in people. After the people closest to her never got a chance to live the way they wished to, ofc she would want to prevent that if she could. Yes, she was hurt for what Puzzles had done to her previously but she was also the one who saw his true side in the mindscape. She can't exactly forgive him and he has to hold accountability for his actions, but there was a chance for Puzzles to grow. Even if the people around her think otherwise. But in the end, she saw the truth due to Puzzles and initially took the blame for not seeing it when she was close to figuring it out.
The truth didn't change.
All stories, no matter how outlandish it seems, are grounded in reality. And that's what I like about this. If given the truth, what do you do? Bad people can act for good while having bad intentions. Good people can act for bad while having good intentions. And yet, the truth is absolute.
Just some pretty interesting stuff I wanted to share, my two cents haha. Aside from that, I do wanna highlight a bit on WPNZ's character development. Ofc he'll still be proud of his kids but he realized that it was time to let his bitterness go and start anew. Well then, what's gonna be the future for the show?
For starters, WOTFI time is coming up and it'll be curious what it would be this time for the challenges since the PV website dead now (RIP 🕊️). I heard from the community that some people want the Puzzles' story to continue there, some don't. I think it would be interesting to have a change, give both Meggy and Puzzles a break. Let the Team cook for next year! It would be cool to see Toomp or 3 get the spotlight. Tari or Melony perhaps?
We know that WPNZ and Toomp are currently on the run rn, we could have some adventures with them from time to time. Maybe random encounters with Karen and/or Hitman Inc. But what we don't know is Puzzles.
When Puzzles said the last line about "fixing it", some people assumed that he's gonna make up the relationship he had with WPNZ and Toomp and earn their trust, which fair enough. But what exactly did he mean by "fixing it"? Over this whole arc, there have been multiple definitions in fixing. The first time was in the deal he made, where Puzzles could "fix" WPNZ by erasing the memories of his family. The second time was literally fixing WPNZ up and putting his limbs back together. But every time he emphasizes how he hasn't given up and that he could still fix things, we can be sure it's how Puzzles is like as a character (need to "perform", stubborn, perfectionist, etc). So naturally, he's not gonna give up on this new plan.
Can it really just be "fixing" his friendships? Sure, it could.
But there could be something else too. It's the thing they made it clear in the movie, that Puzzles isn't the type to let things go so easily. It took the truth from Meggy to hit him like a pile of bricks to realize his mistakes. And it's not just that. The amusement park, the one he dreamed about as a kid? It got taken down. The TV show he wanted for his audience? He has no creative vision. His found family? He lost them. His first ever friend? Gone.
Well, if he can't see what he did, then who else could take most of the blame? Why, his narrative foil ofc: SMG4. Meggy said it herself, she believed in Puzzles but what he did only proved what 4 has been telling her, that Puzzles can never change. I have talked about it before how 4 is what Puzzles wishes to be but doesn't realize they're one of the same, two sides same coin situation. It's what he said before, "I'm nothing like him" bc in his eyes it's true. Plus, he already had a grudge against 4 wat before he met Leggy, so who's to say this didn't add another thing to blame on the "it's 4's fault" list. Not likely but we do have to consider the possibilities here.
Moving on, can we give props to the SMG4 Team for this movie (and arc in general)? 👏🎉 Everyone on the SMG4 Team has done such an incredible job!! The writing, the animation, the voice acting, the storyboards. Shout-out to Clubbins, Shadow, Wiz, Starteas, Star, Anaidon, Braden, Rae, Aaron, Ben, and everyone who worked on this. And ofc Luke and Kevin for having this show in the first place.

I do wanna take the time to say thank you to the SMG4 Tumblr for participating in giving suggestions or for playing! This has been a wonderful tradition we had since WOTFI 2024. I do hope that we not only continue this in the future but also enjoy the hype we had for his arc. As a theorist and a reporter, this means a lot to me ^^

I mean, you can tell by this movie alone how much she can be nervous of a situation and she would have to take it to her own hands. and ofc WPNZ being able to ground her from potentially spiraling, but OUGH. then divorce.

i checked and I. where did they go. I swear I developed out the angst, I didn't just leave it at this what the hell man
my tags.... I just woke up but I can't leave it at this, I left it at a cliff hanger
because after WPNZ spots that all too familiar yeah he freezes as the figure of the all too familiar person sets in but he quickly regains control and goes the other way before doing anything stupid like genuinely having an awkward encounter with the person who betrayed
but then of course the anger coursing through him, thinking about how he was used as he is not over it, walking by the street and suddenly kicking a trashcan across the street in fury, almost doing more but then realising what he's doing as he looks to Toomp to see him concerned but understanding
meanwhile Puzzles is inside that damn store, frozen thinking, wondering when he should muster up the courage to talk. to do anything at all to mend things, because just as he felt, time failed to heal, he felt it himself, starting to feel like he can't have his perfect fix for this
and spiraling, thinking about what he can do because he still cares, he still wants to talk to them. Thinks about offering to erease their memories of him and then he'll never see them again, maybe he'll self isolate again because that already worked out for him so well. Considering, who would ever give him forgiveness now? But part of him resists, the part that's stubborn, the part that still sometimes aches for Leggy even, like a naive hope that he just can't shoot down. It's what would keep him on tracks, keep him away from fully cutting himself away from everything he ever had. because he can fix it
