Immagine being the embodiment of happiness and ending up in the middle of a war.

Having to powers of a god but still being powerless to do anything.

Having children, parents and spouses who need their dead loved ones back to be happy, but you just can't do anything about it. Being burdened by that thought while trying to keep as many people as you can alive.

And for what? What did even start this war? A ruler who wanted more Money? Power? lands? Couldn't they have just peacefully asked her to give it to them, or any of the other virtues?

hii i wanna answer this just because it shows more of my intent with this piece;

who's puppeteering ultimilk is generally up to interpretation! my intent with it was less "who's behind this?" and more suggesting that even now, shadow milk remains a puppet to someone else's will!

even with unfathomable power, shadow milk cookie will never be more than what he is; a marionette to a higher power, a vehicle of someone else's will. which is why the piece has the title it does :)

For the name "Welcome back fount" i don't see much of a problem with it. i mean you have "the bed and breakfast for former baddies" in the hazbin fandom to compete with in terms of long au names, so it's not as long in comparison.

something i also want to mention is how Ash Salt feels a bit like a replacement for Truthless Recluse in the deceit quartet on shadow milk's side imo.

Not that i don't love my wonderful wife(Ash Salt) and acknowledge that devsis has the opportunity to do something really interesting with her, more than they did with other similar characters *aggressive coughing* Venom dough/the dough trio*aggressive coughing*.
