Let’s not talk about eyefucking, staring at each other, liplicking, gentle facetouching and other acting and filming choices. For that part I highly recommend the cinematography of Destiel by @lulu-zodiac, it’s a masterpiece. We all know it’s there 24/7 and it’s a deliberate choice of representing Destiel in a romantic way.

Dean being heavily alcoholic, highly depressive after Cas died.
Dean keeping Cas’ trenchcoat even while using different cars.
Dean searching a fucking year for the angel in purgatory, having no intend to leave, having no clue if he’s even alive.
Dean praying to Cas every night. Every fucking night. For a fucking year.
Dean being heavily traumatized after not being able to get Cas out of purgatory, seeing and hallucinating him everywhere, not being able to cope.
Dean adjusting himself when Cas walks freshly into the room.
Smiling in front of Cas, showing emotional weakness when he can’t see it.
Cas’ stabbed-by-Lucifer death
Dean screaming, Sam holding Dean back so he can’t go after Cas the same way Dean was holding back Sam in 01x01 so he can’t go after Jess.
Dean screaming again, collapsing on his knees next to Cas’ dead body.
