the 74th games are not in 2100. It was an OBSERVATION that 74 years from now is 2100 (an easy number to remember) and then people took it to be canon and started to spread misinformation. Canonically, the 74th games take place roughly 300 years from now. Not in 2100.

Let me explain why i dont particualarly like the LoK.

it has nothing to do with the characters. sure, Korra's nothing like Aang, but thats ok, shes her own person. shes badass. shes pretty. shes a teenager. no, my problem with this show has nothing to do with her.

roughly, LoK takes place 70 years after atla. and honestly, the world feels so different. i dont like it. i fell in love with the world that felt so much like a fantasy. not the one that takes place in the 1900's. i miss that world. with the little bald monk and his group of friends. i miss the characters, and sure, they are old in LoK to make it realistic, and yeah, i like the new characters just fine, but it doesnt hit the same without Sokka there. without Aang's little kid dreams. without Zuko running around trying to regain his honor. without Katara being so angery, but for such a good reason. without Toph being Toph. I fell in love with that world, and its hard for me to move on.
