If we ever get another Devil May Cry game, I want the divinity statue to get more lore.

As far as I’m aware this is a statue of a goddess that isn’t really based on any of the goddesses from the pantheons we know of.

So it begs the question, is she actually a god? Just an idol powered by worship and demon blood? Or is she a demon under the guise of a god who wanted the demon blood for one reason or another?

I’d love to see so much as a devout worshipper in a mainline game. Anything to learn more about the being depicted by the statue.

And if we get a Sparda spinoff, maybe he would have met her? Or has some light to shed on the subject?

I’d totally play a game based around Jake learning more about Project W/Umbrella’s secrets, and fighting Alex. I’d kill to learn more about Jake or any of the Wesker children at all.

I was wondering what the outfits for the characters would look like in a new Devil May Cry game and was thinking about how they’d match the colors the characters are associated with. Dante known for red, Vergil mostly blue and in dmc5 black, and Nero for both red and blue, with blue being more notable in 5.

Then I was thinking “well I wonder if they’ll change up Nero’s or Vergil’s outfits in a future game for some kind of symbolism like they did in 5”.

Vergil wearing a black coat over the blue vest(?) showing him holding onto his humanity and mourning everything he’s lost in his search for power.

Nero, who wore both blue and red in his appearance In 4, where he met Dante, then dropped the red after meeting him, and wore blue in 5, where he then meets Vergil.

My first thought was- “maybe Vergil will go back to wearing blue and Nero will wear black to match his name.”

My next one was- “well, since Nero’s eyes in devil trigger are yellow, maybe he’ll wear yellow or incorporate it into his outfit to show he’s not quite like either of the twins and is free of wondering who his family is now.”

And my last thought was-“oh my god, I need Nero to be yellow or green to make them primary colors.” (Because technically there are several sets of primary colors depending on the context)

We can agree that “It should have been you” nonsense the writers had Misako on was misogynistic, right?

Because why was THAT what the writers decided to do? It was totally unnecessary to have her have feelings for Wu or hit on him. I get that her husband was evil, but for fucks sake, there was no reason to make her character revolve around her indecisiveness between who she wanted to be with, when she decided DECADES AGO. The writers kept dragging her character through the mud and made her so unapologetic over it, like she wasn’t emotionally cheating on her husband.

What was the fucking point? In a kids show nonetheless.

Don’t get me wrong, Misako is by no means perfect even ignoring this, but I refuse to acknowledge that mess between her and the brothers any more and want this plot wiped off of canon completely. It just feels gross to think about.

I could understand that her dropping off Lloyd thinking it’d help delay the battle by teaching him bad behaviors, and give him a place to stay while looking for a way to prevent destiny completely. It was a bad call, but she couldn’t have predicted him being kicked out and becoming essentially homeless, then everything after that. Still at fault for not keeping in contact with him, but again, she’s a flawed character.

Thinking about misako’s character, and how dirty the writers did her pisses me off so bad. If they wanted her to be a hatable character, they could have done it some other way that children would actually understand rather than expose them to that nonsense.

Call me crazy- but Nico is not only a lesbian, but aromantic or aroace. She is stated to have never found people beautiful until she saw Kyrie, so I don’t know how I’ve never seen anyone else say this before.

I’m getting back into ninjago and was wondering if people were still hating on euphrasia, because I have to say, it’s the dumbest thing I remember from before I dropped out of the fandom, especially now that I’m caught up on Dragons Rising. I get it, Morro is cool. We love him, and he’s done a lot of wrong, and redeemed himself, but Euphrasia hasn’t even had enough of a chance to prove herself yet.

He’s had his arc. It’s reached a rare, almost perfect- if not perfect conclusion. There is nothing to suggest he would even want his power back. The only reason he’s not passed on yet is because he’s placing the burden on himself to protect those who have died, and want to pass on.

He’s made that his duty, and will likely never leave the spectral lands because of it. Not to mention he would probably feel especially guilty if he regained the power he used to hurt a lot of people, considering his change in goals. Protecting people vs willing to hurt them to get what he wants.

If they ever moved Morro out of the spectral lands, the biggest role he would play that would have a positive meaning to him is as a protector, and to train Euphrasia to use her powers for a purpose he’d disregarded when he had them, and to use them in ways he never could.

Euphrasia is still a developing character with a lot of potential. She has already displayed a lot of raw power, and considering she lived in the sky, this IS her element. I swear some of you hate her just because she’s a girl who’s only recently become main cast, and refuse to see her potential because you’re glazing Morro too hard.

Even though I want Morro to become a main character, he is fine where he is at. Euphrasia is learning and has a lot of potential, and you all are acting insane hating on her just because you want a character to comeback despite the fact he has found his place and doesn’t want to leave it. Euphrasia is still finding her place and how she fits into the team. Leave well enough alone and chill out.

It’s been years, but I’ll never get over how they did my girl Harumi in crystallized. She NEVER liked Lloyd, and yet they had tension after he thought she killed his family A SECOND TIME!?

They should have just stopped at directing her anger towards the overlord. Her redemption felt a little bit too much like it was because of Lloyd when she spent two seasons trying to ruin his life before Crystalized even happened.

Just let a woman hate a man/ let two people deal with their trauma without making it about romance. 😒

She was whitewashed in her brief cameo of season 1, and her story was completely taken out of what should have been her season. That’s what I knew the whole time. I didn’t think she was in season 2 at all until I saw this.

Apparently this right here was her??? And they fucked up by putting the wrong symbol on her arm so I didn’t know it was her!

Lucia’s symbol should be the Greek letter “Chi” and this right here is “Psi”

So the list of ways Adi has wronged Lucia grows-

•whitewashed her

•essentially erased her from a story that should have at least included her

•couldn’t even bother to put the right mark on her arm

•only gave her back her original skin color AFTER making her Arius’s minion. (Which I don’t like the connotations of that AT ALL)

•Making her Arius’s minion is the EXACT OPPOSITE OF HER GODDAMN STORY. WHAT WAS THE POINT!? This is blatant disrespect to her character. She despises that man.

Adi doesn’t care about Devil May Cry, and if this isn’t proof of it I don’t know what is. He wanted to be the hero of what he admitted he thought was a dead fandom, and failed to show any sort of respect to its story or characters.

People dog on us for “wanting an exact copy of the games” when I’m sure most of us didn’t. I’m not 100% sure I would have even watched it as soon as I did season 1 if it was because I already knew what would happen, but I’d take an exact copy over this disrespectful slop.

He could have gone about this a million different ways without making it an exact copy of the games, and still do right by the story and the fandom.

In a disappointing and not shocking turn of events, I’ve seen people on TikTok prove my last post even further by saying they won’t play the game if they won’t see Leon, don’t want Claire to be with Steve, and posted a picture of Leon in the comments of a video about Code Veronica.

For those just now tuning in and didn’t see my original post or my repost of a repost where I had to reexplain myself to someone who stupidly thought i was hating on ships and not the stupid shit the shippers were doing- I made a post explaining how not everything is about a man(Leon in this case), and hating on Ada or Claire because the other is “In the way” of their ship is fucking stupid and misogynistic.

Anyways-

TO THOSE UNAWARE! LEON IS NOT IN CODE VERONICA! HE IS OFF BEING FORCED TO WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT. LEAVE THE HOT FICTIONAL MAN OUT OF THIS MESS, HE DOESN’T BELONG IN IT EXCEPT FOR A BRIEF MENTION IF EVEN THAT.

Stop making a game about the Redfield siblings (Honestly people have decided it’s mostly Claire’s game for a long time now) about someone who is only mentioned in an email in the original (and if I’m not mistaken only appears in a no longer canon novel where he is literally vomiting while trying to contact Chris).

Contrary to popular belief, not everything is about Leon. We’ve gotten several games with him in it in the last couple of years. You will survive one game without him. Claire hasn’t been in a game since 2017. Shut up and let us have this without bringing up Leon.

Don’t reduce Claire to a girl with a crush or a romantic interest. The point of Code Veronica is to find Chris. She couldn’t care less about her romantic life when she is fighting for her actual life.

How many of you bitches are gonna keep failing the bechdel test, because you want to make everything about Ada and Claire be about Leon instead?

The LEAST interesting thing about both of these women are that they happen to know the same man, but that’s all I ever hear about when one or the other is brought up anymore.

Code Veronica remake is not for proving Cleon or Aeon is better or canon. Ada is not in Code Veronica, she’s off doing more badass mercenary bullshit. Claire is the star of the show, and we’ll see other characters that haven’t gotten any attention in a long time like Steve Burnside and the ashford twins.

The only part Leon had to play in Code Veronica was to do exactly what Claire told him to do, and sent Chris to go help her. All off screen mind you. It better fucking stay like this. I do not want to see his stupid fucking face or hear his voice. I love him, but I don’t. Not even for a second.

Why?

Because two awesome, beautiful characters have been taken and made into damn near props by people who only actually care about Leon, and we’re all tired of it.

Stop arguing like little bitches and putting down Ada or Claire, just because you ship the other with Leon. Their lives are not centered around a man, and unlike you, they would pass the bechdel test.

This isn’t about not “letting people ship what they want.” It’s about how people treat Claire and Ada, how the shippers treat each other, and how Leon doesn’t need to be in a game he has no business being in.

People are capable of multi shipping and it being valid (referring to the last post I made about shipping you hated on and told me my take was invalid because I multiship btw) and people shouldn’t hate on a character just because they like a ship said character has nothing to do with.

So I’m half way through the Project Hail Mary Audiobook, and I’ve noticed there are quite a few differences. A few of those things being about Ryland Grace and how he acts. I’m sure I will definitely see more as I get closer to finishing the book.

I have not yet watched Iron Lung and plan to do it after I finish the PHM book, but I am curious about bloodymary.

Does anyone else ever think about one of V’s early concepts being a woman?

I will always be curious about what Devil May Cry 5 would have looked like if they had gone with this concept (which was really only done to explore all of the options and was never actually considered to be implemented If I’m not mistaken).

I guess in some ways it’d sort of make sense since Dante and Vergil’s demon side comes from their father, and to separate from it would change a little more than just their species and appearance.

The way her hair is drawn makes me think that one of her abilities would be related to it, and I’m not sure if that’s meant to be Shadow behind her or some other sort of demon/nightmare.

Even if they stuck with the same abilities, it certainly would have changed some of the reactions everyone had to V, and then Vergil’s reappearance.
