The Picture of Dorian Gray (uncensored version) (original novella): A Full & Complete Close Analysis
Read here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/78691336
A full, complete, and detailed close analysis of the entire original/uncensored novella of The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. For those who don't know, The Picture of Dorian Gray has two versions—the censored/revised novel (which is the most common version found in stores), and the original/uncensored novella, the one that was featured in the Lippincott's Magazine back in 1890.
This is 3 weeks' worth of work—powered by nothing but sheer manic hyperfixation, emotional overengagement, and all-nighters. This analysis contains major spoiler warnings... obviously.

⦾ Conclusion
This was originally an academic performance task, however, my sheer love and adoration for this novella got the best of me and I ended up overdoing the work (in a good way). All in all, this analysis would've *definitely* been longer and had more content if this wasn't a school work, because I was genuinely holding myself back.
