You were born in a city where everyone has a superpower. However, while people freely use theirs (breathe fire, heal wounds or grow flowers), you seem to not be able to do anything. But one day, as you leave the city, you realize that everyone loses their power.
“The snake which cannot cast its skin has to die. As well the minds which are prevented from changing their opinions; they cease to be mind.”

And then, again theres nothing.
I untangled the threads enough to make a new knot.
This time hastily laced with your huffing and puffing
No is always a choice
“Dear God, do old scars ever stop hurting?”
— Stephen King, The Shining
“Dying is an art, like everything else. I do it exceptionally well. I do it so it feels like hell. I do it so it feels real. I guess you could say I’ve a call.”
Sylvia Plath. 🖤
“And once the storm is over you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, in fact, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”
— Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore (via bookmania)
As for girls, they should risk everything for Freedom, and give everything for Passion, loving everything that their hearts and their bodies love. The only thing higher for a girl and more sacred for a young woman than her freedom and her passion should be her desire to make her life into poetry, surrendering everything she has to create a life as beautiful as the dreams that dance in her imagination.

I Am
I am a death addict.
I am a pain junkie.
I am the dirt on the floor under me.
I am the blood in my veins and the blood on my blades.
I am the screams that I hold in.
I am the shadow that I grow in.
I am me.
And that seems to be the problem.
The drowning
you have watched me drown
for the longest now it’s time
for me to resurface back to shore

“Give me liberty, or give me death.” -Patrick Henry.
Now in her 70s, Agafia Lykova lives alone in Siberia, as she has her entire life. Her family fled into the wilderness in 1936 and when they were discovered living off the land after being spotted from the air in the 1970s, they had no idea World War Two had started - or ended.
