Tell us how your visit to Rossi's ranch in Tavullia went.
We were out on the track all day and it was fun. I was really impressed by the setup there. It's incredible. They have a small farmhouse for changing and storing the bikes. It was fun and I set the fastest time. We did a different kind of race, the American style, which Valentino won, and in the third round I crashed after touching Pasini. Since the last two in each heat didn't advance to the next round, I didn't qualify for the final, but I did get the Superpole. I took the Superpole and set the track record, but on dirt tracks things change a lot from day to day and they lowered the records too. They might have even taken it from me these past few days.
Who is better on the ground between the two?
It was his home track and he clearly knew the track very well, but dirt track and flat track have always come easily to me. I've been doing it since I was little.
Will there be a rematch later on, and will this become a classic visit?
I'd like to go more often, but mostly because I had such a great time thanks to Valentino's hospitality. He even helped me prepare the bike, fine-tuning the suspension, and then Honda Italy lent me a bike. Afterwards, we all had dinner together at the end of the day, and I couldn't sleep that night because of how the day had gone.
Now he owes you a visit, doesn't he?

But you have the Palau Sant Jordi [sporting arena], where he'll be doing another dirt track show in December…
Well, yes, but it's not the same. The Ranch is a different atmosphere, very relaxed; we ate lunch and dinner together and it was hilarious.
And on your Rufea circuit?
The door is open and I've invited him, but my track is smaller and very different. If he has time, the door is open. And if he doesn't come, I'll go; I had a phenomenal time.
