Before the war, my life was defined by the precision of a microscope and the life-saving results of ELISA machines. As a Laboratory Medicine Specialist at Al-Shifa, Al-Rantisi, and Al-Awda hospitals, my mission was to diagnose diseases and save lives.

Hazem is 32 years old and has lost his entire family. His pregnant wife and his 2 children were killed when their home was bombed. Hazem was severely injured in the bombing and was in a coma for days. He woke up to the news of his family’s death. More than 30 members of his family had been killed in the attack.
