One day, Zarya gets so fed up she just picks up the gd payload and carries it to the destination.

Teiko flinched at that. “O-Oh…” he pushed his fingers together anxiously. “Uh..Um…m-my apologies…” Well, this definitely didn’t go where he had expected. In fact this was much worst. Maybe one more attempt to change subject would work.

“H-How are you enjoying your time here in America? I-I hope your having a good time….I-I sing at a club nearby…I-I hear it has good food…Uh..N-Not that, I’d know what good food tastes like. Heheh….” he was burning purple as he spoke to her. Definitely in one of those ‘don’t make a sudden movement’ sort of deals. Especially since he felt she could easily toss him over her shoulder and smash him to tiny bits.

He noted her physical appearance more then. “Y-You have very pretty hair by the way.” he complimented, putting his hands together.

He continued to fumble on his words, and Zarya continued to stare rather blankly, irritably, in his direction. He seemed to speak almost in gibberish, telling her about things that seemed very random at best. She could tell he was trying to defuse the situation, or something similar. And the looming woman had a strange sense of satisfaction knowing that he was fearful of her -- sure that she would be able to take him out if she had to.

But it seemed like this one was weak. Cowardly, even by human standards. The threat level was... low.

And then, somehow, Teiko managed to hit one of the only good cords with her -- something even an omnic could make her facade break. A compliment.

Zarya seemed to straighten up, running her fingers through her short hair. "It is much work. Keeping the color." Of course, it wasn't natural. But she'd kept it this pink for so long, many would be in awe if one day her 'natural' hair shone through.

Her hand dropped then, realizing she'd seemed to falter for just a moment. A scowl seemed to return to her lips, then, almost a pout in a way. She stared at Teiko with furrowed brows for a long minute before she said.

"Where is this 'club'? I am in need of dinner."

Teiko flinched a bit at that. “W-Well…Yeah, I have my own place. It’s mostly for shelter honestly….” he rubbed his arm nervously. “A-As for my clothes,I felt it would make the humans around me a little more comfortable….” He knew there were plenty of humans that weren’t comfortable around omnics, but if he could just…look a bit more like them, maybe they wouldn’t be so uncomfortable.  “I…Is that…Okay?” he asked, although he had a feeling this person didn’t like that about him. “U-Uh…Y-You have such a unique accent, Where are you from?” he fretted, hopefully a change of subject would distract her from what he is.

He asked if it was okay, but the strong woman held her tongue for a moment. If it was up to her, no, it would not be okay. None of this sort of thing would be okay. She'd heard the claims that omnics could live alongside humans. Been told by some that her views were close-minded. But most of those who said such things hadn't ever seen the things that Zarya had over her time.

"Russia." She said, and with that single word, a vague hint of pride that quickly disappeared. "The place in which the omnics still attack, and destroy, every day."

Teiko flinched hearing the strongly accented voice. “U-uh….” he looked over his shoulder to see the larger figure behind him. “O-Oh…I-I’m tying my shoe…I-I saw it came undone…S-So….yeah.” he noticed the expression on her face and cringed. “Um…I-Is that okay?” He looked back down and saw her own shoes. “Oh, I’d offer to retie yours…but they don’t have strings they seem.” he chuckled nervously finishing up his own shoes and then stood back up, standing as straight as he could. He’d been beaten up once this week, he really didn’t wanna get beaten up again.

Any humor behind his statement about her shoes is lost on her, both through English tones being hard for her to comprehend... as well as her own prejudices blocking out the chance it would be understood correctly either way. Her expression doesn't change, the unhappiness she feels by even looking at the robot before her.

Her eyes shift to the right, then to the left, almost as if she expected this whole situation to be set up. Honestly, though, she knew it wasn't. She knew that places like this, these omnics just ran around and mingled among humans.

"Do you just live here? Pretending like you're human?" She found herself questioning him, her tone still rather sharp, but it dropped into a mumble as she added. "Wearing clothes as if you are anything more than a machine."

On one hand, Zarya being seperate from the main Overwatch group gives me a lot of room to expand with my own ideas.

On the other hand, she doesn’t have any canon ties that I can use like some of the other characters do, so I don’t even know where to begin interacting with some of these other awesome characters.

She looks at the omnic with an obvious disgust, lip curled as her eyes dart up and down it's form. Impulse tells her to attack it, but she resists for now. Even Zarya knows that there are supposedly "good" omnics, even though she would never actually put her faith in that claim.

Still, it was always best not to shoot something dead until necessary.

She laughs at the question, the fact that it was even asked humors her. “With a bit of warm up, I am sure.” A smirk paints her lips, thick rolling accent as she speaks. “You interested in a bet?”

I imagine that Zarya is incredibly good and patient with children. I can imagine little kids (girls especially) looking up to her, and she picks ‘em up and carries them on her shoulder and “teaches” them how to work out, and tells them that they’re doing great even if they have no idea what they’re doing.
