6 Word Autism

              As sort of a writing exercise, I challenged myself to write a 6 word story based on my day. It’s been really interesting to condense my autistic experiences into such a rigid structure. I invite other autistic and neurodivergent people to write their own, and submit them here!

Not exaggerating, genuinely can't handle it

“You want to be normal, right?” (my mom upon watching me rock back and forth and bite my nails every morning before school when i was in elementary school. i’m 20 now and only just started stimming again)

Washing clothes in the sink.  Ahhhhhh.

Low battery chirps are hell. Chirp.

Stimming? You mean everything I do?

My special interest is my life

i want to- no, too tired

Small dark spaces are my fortress.

"Stop doing that" "I literally can't"

Plaster of paris has [a] bad texture

I'm smiling, you just can't see

it hurts, i wanna join too.

everything feels weird, cant stop thinking

Emotions are waves, & I’m drowning

Bad at conversing, made mom mad

[6-word-autism]

Gagged because ketchup touched my finger.

My brain and body feel overloaded
