Hey there! Thanks so much for your message. Sorry I've been inactive for a while - I've relocated to a serviced apartment before the big move so stuff has been hectic with balancing planning, packing, uni, work prep, etc. The gigs sound like good fun. Obviously I have to be wary with such an offer online, but I'd love to come along (provided you're not a mass murderer/kidnapper/creepy stalker lol) - what's the best way to initiate this? What's the concept anyway? In a nutshell? How about an English speaking girl who's learning Japanese as she goes through the whole thing?

Well I'm not sure of even the concept really. It's all in the 'to do later' box at this stage. English-speaker learning Japanese is really overdone. The only difference is that I'm not a:a) overweight, neckbearded or awkward old white guy there to get laid

b) narutard or typical weeaboo 

c) random which chick married to a Japanese guy and calling herself a subject matter expert

I wish that was enough, but I'd sink in the pool of bad videos if I didn't have something unique to offer. Gotta think long and hard, and do research on what's there and what people want.

What kind of ideas? For art?

Nah nah, for video or photo projects. It's hard to come up with, for example, a vlog type tourism show that's original since so many people have tried it. Granted, most are awful, but it's figuring out what will make it good that is the hard part. Especially since I have no video experience, haha.I can't decide between doing quick info-vlogs on cool places I go to while I'm travelling, or specifically do 'coverages' of wards in Tokyo, as another example. I think I'm leaning more towards covering places in Japan(Tokyo to start) by doing it ward by ward. Only hard thing about it is reviewing eateries since there's only so many restaurants I can visit and per day. I'd need to keep food separate, or only lightly talked about, and do it over several days.Another thing was whether to do it in English, Japanese or an English-Japanese mix(without sounding like a massive weeaboo). I want to appeal to all audiences, but especially Japanese audiences I guess since I want the practice and sorta want to 'set myself up' locally as I'm there long term.

...as you can see, ideas all over the place a bit :-p Starting small, building from there.

Thank you! :-)Not sure yet. I have a decent DSLR that can do photo, 3D panoramas and . I need to learn to use it, and get a proper lens, but definitely I'll have some sort of Japan tourism type blog. Go to the places no one writes about or advertises, 'get lost' style of exploring, and write about it or do little clips of it on video.I'm just trying to figure out the best way to make it my own style, and most importantly to make it unique and stand out.
