another short thing for metonic week day 4: body horror/affection. based on this art by @7656y, which in turn is inspired by a tweet. cw for gore
Tendons snap beneath Metal's fingers. He slices through muscle with equal ease, doesn't meet real resistance until he comes into contact with bone. Frustrated, he removes his hand from Sonic's flesh with a wet squelch, blood splattering off the tips of his fingers. The movement is accompanied by the equally wet sound of Sonic coughing, his lungs punctured and filled with blood.
"Come on," Sonic says, voice thin and reedy but no less taunting for it. "You can do better than that."
Metal closes a hand around the torn remnants of Sonic's arm, just above the elbow, and pulls. All that happens at first is that Sonic lets out a weak sound of pain, but then there's a sort of popping noise, a tearing as his skin and muscle starts to stretch, as the ball of his humerus pops out of the joint. Metal pulls harder, harder still until Sonic's flesh tears completely, his arm coming free of his body in Metal's hand.
"That's…" Sonic trails off, eyes rolling back as he passes out at the feeling of Metal plunging a hand into his guts. He comes to again a moment later, the pain too intense to allow him to stay unconscious for long. "That's more like it," he finally manages to say, something soft and almost affectionate to his tone.
It's infuriating. Metal stops thinking, starts slashing mindlessly at Sonic's body, his flesh parting for his fingers like butter for a hot knife. When he reaches his chest and encounters the solid barrier of his rib cage, he wraps his fingers around as many of his ribs as he can fit and closes his hand, snapping them like a handful of twigs. Sonic makes a sound that could be pain but sounds more like a moan, pitching up as Metal does it again—then abruptly cuts off when Metal stabs the sharp tips of his fingers directly into his heart.
Even the blue fake's death isn't enough to make Metal stop. He keeps slashing, stabbing, crushing bone and cartilage and other unidentified viscera in his grip until all that's left is a gristly paste, a red smear that no longer resembles Sonic in the slightest.
Metal looks down at his hands, covered in so much blood and gore they're entirely red. He continues to stare even as an arm winds around his shoulders and across his chest, as a warm, living torso presses against his back.
"Satisfied yet?" Sonic murmurs. His lips touch the side of Metal's face; his breath would no doubt be fogging up the metal plating if the surface of it wasn't covered in blood.
It's gentle, intimate, almost loving—and it pisses Metal off. He whirls around, whips a hand across Sonic's chest to leave behind a long, ragged gash. Sonic turns his head down to look at it, smiling faintly as he watches blood well up from the wound and trickle down. His lips are already stained red with it, like poorly applied lipstick.
"It's alright." He looks back up at Metal, catches his eyes even while reaching for the hand that just cut him, still wet and tacky with blood both old and new. "You can keep going…" He twines their fingers together and leans in close so their noses are nearly touching as he continues, "until you feel better about yourself."
I LOOOOOVE the art ya do man! Like seriously how you draw metal sonic, OOO chef's KISS. The slight change in linework to show expressions on something expressionless, amazing. You’re like, the CEO of metonic. A ship I previously didn’t know had a fanbase so dedicated, until my curiosity lead me to encounter your account. Sure, there are many others on board with the pair, but I’ve never seen someone so fervent for these goobers as you.
Is because of your magma, I got to meet such passionate artists, who also granted me confidence to post.
I hate seeing someone get so discouraged, when they are the same person that once encouraged me to actually do something with my own account.
Like seriously, this fandom was already fucked since forever, why now are you giving in to them just because they said something you didn’t like. It’s never worth it to get mad at randoms because they too are mad.
I implore you to not get lost in their bs, or you too, will get lost in your head. People like those always ruin the fun for everybody.

CEO of metonic ..? Such a high pedestal. I really do appreciate your kindness and advice for me. But you shouldn't be worried, as you said I am insanely 'fervent for these goobers'.. moments of weakness won't stop me from them, mostly won't stop me from metal.
I am happy that my magma encouraged you that much... enough to create your own things! That is a lot of encouragement .. inspiration..? Encouragement.
But, it wasn't just the mad socially untrained randoms that caused my temporary emotions
it was a lot of things that culminated in me being discouraged of interacting with others. The randoms were genuinely the last straw . usually I don't mind insane stupidity, that's just Sonic twt, but it's like if you had a very bad day and then you get home and your clothes catch on the doorknob as you enter a room and somehow that doubles how bad the day was.
Important point is i felt I lost my community and it just wasn't fun.. I dislike talking to a void even though that void is happy to hear from me.
Anyway I realize I'm being over dramatic, I won't get lost in their bs , and I just need to rebuild that community. I realized I haven't completely lost it in the first place, I just miss what I had. Change and such.
