it’s so easy to assume that a person can only hurt you or do you wrong if their a “bad” person but really, people can be good and still hurt. people can be good and still not give you the same effort you give them. and that’s okay. maybe their purpose in your life was to remind you that only God is there with you in every breath. only God can live up to the weight of your expectations, and only He is worthy of your hopes. in fact, I think anyone we place on a pedestal lets us down sooner or later because only God is free of all imperfections.

When I asked Allah (swt) to grant me wisdom and strength, He blessed me with hardships. When I asked Allah (swt) to grant me wealth, He blessed me with a brain, arms and legs so I can work. When I asked Allah (swt) to grant me courage, He blessed me with with challenges. When I asked Allah (swt) to grant me love, He blessed me with the wrong people. When I asked Allah (swt) for favours, He blessed me with opportunities. He always grants you what you want, but He lets you deal with it so you can grow and learn. Throughout my life, I never received what I wanted, but what I needed, I’ve always found the strength to pick myself up over and over again and only thanks to Him I managed to keep my head up. He tests whose He loves, never lose hope in Allah ’Azzawajal. Never.
