         IT CAN’T BE HELPED. No matter how hard he has been trying not to sniffle or shiver too obviously, Yue Qi just cannot seem to mask just how ill he’s been from his Xiao Jiu. He’s practically painted his torn up sleeve with his snot trying to wipe it away until his nose has turned red and sore. His gaze has been bleary and unfocused throughout their usual misadventures running round the city streets. He truly was trying his best to suck it up though, from offering the scowling little brother beside him a tired smile with all his teeth shown whenever he looked back at him to trying to lilt his voice on a more cheery note when asked a question. But who knew, that the moment they got to their tiny little one walled thatch-made holding, that Yue Qi would suddenly collapse upon where the meager mat the two shared and let the world slip away for a while.

When he awakens, it’s to the angry call of the other. How funny he is… commanding him not to fall ill, he thinks dimly behind slow blinking eyes and a woozy sensation in his head. Despite his state, hardly able to get up, Yue Qi manages to smile for all his efforts. “Xiao Jiu….” He murmurs, and pushes the food between them weakly, lifts the rough blanket for the other to crawl in under with him, “This Qi Ge is fine…. He just needs a nap. You shouldn’t waste warmth and food on me… it’s going to be a long night.”

some of yall had never have failed to keep the promise to rescue the love of ur life after they begged u to save them, then been consumed enough by the guilt that you let them systematically antagonize you for years when they suddenly die in their sleep only for u to watch them come back and die again and be made a fool out of for a huge ass extended amount of years before u try to apologize for it all & all while still loving em knowing u will have to dejectedly watch them walk away with another man and it rly shows :/
