So Morgan added this last night (Sept. 6th evening show) and I am completely obsessed. Eurydice teasing Orpheus by doing a little mock English accent.

the streets are saying Rebecca Naomi Jones is mocking Hades in Why We Built The Wall, and i think it’s such a brilliant choice. Her “Step into my office” is also sooo mocking, and i love angry and spiteful Persephone who’s not afraid to show Hades that. i knew she’d be sooooo good in that role, i can’t wait to see it

Thinking about I'm Alive (Reprise) as per usual, specifically the line "until you name me, you can't tame me" together with that one old folktale in which a werewolf can only be returned to humanity if someone who loves and trusts them unconditionally says their name.

Thinking about how the play is only finally able to wrap itself up after I Am The One (Reprise) in which Dan finally says Gabe's name.

Thinking about how Gabe doesn't just go away when Dan says his name in (he never will. he never can. he's part of their family forever no matter what.) but there can be hope now. The werewolf isn't killed, he's just human again, and now that he's been named, things can start to improve for all of their lives.

Anyway his name isn't Jack Wolfe for nothing I guess (I am severely ill)

i was first a little disappointed seeing that hermes would be a white man in the new hadestown cast. he’s obv not the first white man to play hermes but it’s unusual casting, esp since all the other bway hermes’ have been poc, i’ve just taken it as a given

but hearing kurt elling sing has gotten me so pumped, like HOLY SHITTT he’s really fucking good

i’m so excited for this cast, esp with jack(AHHHHHHk) and rebecca having been fancasts of mine in those roles
