closed starter for @89syeon· | sooyeon x hansol
he can already hear the enthusiastic yelling of his child when he opens the front door of his home, eyes nearly bulging out of his head. it’s nearly ten o'clock, why are they still awake? he shrugged off his jacket and peeked around the corner in the process, frowning apologetically at sooyeon, his longtime babysitter. “i’m terribly sorry that he hasn’t fallen asleep. has he been this energetic all day? i believe you deserve a raise.” a chuckle left his throat before the man was stepping out of his shoes and rubbing the back of his neck, venturing over to kiss his son on the head. “my god, it’s like he’s had seventy chocolate bars.”
the day had been spent with loud laughter and dried paint marking up the youth and older female. finally, after much convincing she had gotten the boy in the bath, making sure to scrub away the mess they had made earlier in the day carefully. after getting him in his pajamas and drying his hair, the two could hear the footsteps outside, indicating the young boy’s father was home. “go get him.” she urged him with laughter, putting the towel in the laundry basket before following after him. “you say that almost every time, hansol.” she chuckled, brushing hair behind her ears to get it out of her face. “it’s break, i’m off from the school anyways and you know i hate spending all day inside. i’d rather spend it laughing.” her lips tugging upwards as she fondly glanced at the young boy, whose excitement never seemed to phase her.
sorry i went a bit mia, went on a spontaneous mini vaca. i will be working on all replies this week, please be patient with me. and as always, if you would like to plot, please im me.

something always brings me back to you it never takes too long
it’s only business
[ semi-au ] although she’s already successfully gotten herself into the fashion industry, taking pictures with those who she admires, there is always room to grasp onto more assurance to succeed further. behind closed doors she discusses contracts and reasons, soft smiles that turn calculating to helping her business flourish. these meetings involve long hours, company dates and after shows parties to enrich the partnerships. it would be interesting to have public misunderstandings and drama, both females and males are accepted for this plot. preferably above the age of 25-26 but we can discuss. i want conflicts and arguments, threats of not signing contracts or changing clients. partners who work well together when it comes to business, but can’t hold a polite conversation.

In between holidays was always a whirl of glee and sorrow. Sooyeon tried her best to be with her parents and younger sister, but it was never more than a day or so before she had to go. She was bound to schedules that caused plane seats to be more of a common place to sleep for her than anywhere else. The past twelve hours had been no different, except perhaps the holiday spirit that still wanted to shine in her.
Exhaustion was evident in her slow strides as she deplaned, but her eyes still held a mystery sparkle of excitement. On a rare occasion, Sooyeon was by herself in the airport, not even a manager with her. With her black face mask snug against her face and her baseball cap pushed as far down as possible, she was hoping to glide alone with the traffic of people without getting noticed. The woman always found it a bit exciting to hide from paparazzi and fans, even if she adored her golden stars, she needed to do somethings without it being documented.
Eyes glued to her phone, she was looking at how long it would take for her to get picked up. Wanting to use a more private driving service than just a cab for safety reasons, she couldn’t help but let out a small sigh as her lips formed a pout. The wait time would be roughly thirty minutes which meant she had time to kill. Gathering her belongings, Sooyeon began to look around for a more empty place to sit and wait. Quietly, she made her way to the corner, near a large window before taking a seat.
“May time speed quickly.” She mumbled to herself.
please like my status or im me if you would like to plot. i am itching for some new connections for sooyeon.

“So what did you end up saying to her then?” Sooyeon’s eyes dropping from her compacts mirror to her phones camera, looking at her younger sister’s expressions. The elder was calling while getting ready for another schedule, wanting to catch up on the latest gossip in her sister’s life. Though they were just together, it was no secret how close the two were, which meant whenever Sooyeon had any free time that wasn’t spent on sleeping she was contacting her sibling.
“Honestly, I’ve told you how many times to just leave those situations. Why do you keep engaging when you know the outcome?” There was concern in her voice as she didn’t like when other people made comments about the younger’s attitude in public. “If you don’t like something, honestly express it. Don’t try to not hurt someone’s feelings and lie.”

» STARTER ✘ ( for hitting the ❤ & ↺ ) » for: @89syeon » from: SUNGJOO
Usually, Sungjoo would just hand a song to an entertainment, sell it and never think about it again. Unlike other songwriters, Sungjoo didn’t consider his songs to be his babies, they are part of his soul which he gladly threw away whenever he could. With each song, so he hoped, would the pain in his heart fade a little bit. But interacting with the artists was not really what he liked doing. They would ask why he writes sad songs only or if they could tweak something about the song. And of course, Sungjoo knew the singer he had to work with right now. Jung Jessica, the girl who left Girls Generation, the girl who has always known as the ice princess.
The man kept in the meeting room alone after the person who was with him told him that the artist has arrived. Sungjoo looked down at his hands on the table, figuring that he could still leave and sell his songs to someone else, but he needed the money. The rent was due and he hasn’t been as productive lately.
Only the sound of the door opening caused Sungjoo to look up again. Immediately, he got up from his seat and bowed deeply in front of the artist. ❝ Miss Jung. It’s nice to meet you. I’m Choi Sungjoo, the songwriter. ❞
Schedules had been drowning Sooyeon lately. She had been trying to tie up all her loose ends before she took a break for the holidays. Lately, in between schedules she had been working on a new album, something she was truly taking her time with. For her, music was one way she could connect with all her fans still, so when it was decided her last single would be released without her really having much say, she was disappointed.
Sooyeon had been exhausted the past few months from traveling and hadn’t been able to make a studio version she was actually proud of. Unfortunately, her vote didn’t win and the company released it regardless. How did her Golden Stars feel? From the comments she had read, she knew they were being supportive, but she knew that they were worried as well. That was precisely why this next album had to be perfect.
Walking into the meeting room with her head held high, Sooyeon smiled at the man, her waist bending low to greet him back. “Choi Sungjoo.” Her tone filled with admiration. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you. I’m excited to listen to the song. If you don’t mind playing it for me?” Sooyeon had brushed up her knowledge on the songwriter, his talents for deeper meaningful songs enticed her. She wanted her new album to be one of a much more personal level and wanted to express all her feelings on it. To her, he was the missing piece to her collection. Her sorrow always got to dark for her to be able to express properly.

it wasn’t the first time his company had managed to drive him out of his mind, and certainly not the last, either. cancelled schedules after cancelled schedules, empty promises after empty promises; it’s always been that way. he was furious, to say the least; so furious that he’d typed in the wrong number while trying to text himchan and ended up venting to a random stranger instead — a grave mistake on his part.
[ sms ] screw yoga. [ sms ] i’d rather set the entire building on fire to end my career with a boom.
anger made him reckless. (and stupid.)
[ sms ] wait. what do you mean? [ sms ] never mind. sorry!!! [ sms ] forget this happened! ✌
who had he been talking to? curiosity gnawed at him, but he didn’t dare ask.
it was evident by the message that sooyeon was not meant to be the receipt of the other text at all, but amusement had the little part of her that craved for something exciting burning.
[ sms ] career? do you work in an office? [ sms ] office work is hard i’ve heard, but don’t let it get to you!
sooyeon herself had plenty of stress on her own shoulders, though over the past year, things seemed to finally be going in her favor lately. though she wouldn’t say she herself had the urge to set buildings on fire, she believed she could somewhat understand how the anonymous person was feeling.
[ sms ] watch something funny and eat some junk food! [ sms ] or write it out, everything that stresses you out. it helps sometimes to just vent in a place no one can see.
happy birthday jessica ♡

At this point the silence that had so far been accompanying him in the otherwise lifeless accommodation was slowly getting too silent. Spending a while by himself was fine, any longer than that caused trouble to the restless soul. He could fall asleep, he could utilize the moment and spend it wisely for resting purposes. Alternatively, he could pace around the apartment and bore himself to no end. His only response to the inner monologue turned out to be a wide, unapologetic yawn. As unexpected as the previous message had been, he now had a good reason to stay alert — even more so when he got another reply from the same sender.
This was one way to say hello. For once Zitao had time to answer the messages right away and wasted no time to do so, his fingers already working on a response when he first read her reaction. It was quite funny.
[ sms ] it was fine last time I checked, thank you [ sms ] would say well-preserved [ sms ] glad to hear the years haven’t affected your glory either
soft giggles seemed to be endlessly echoing in the room as she read over the male’s messages. with a small sluggish sigh, she decided to get up and grab herself a bottle of water from the fridge, before taking a seat once more.
[ sms ] well-preserved? [ sms ] are you secretly a mummy, zitao?
she paused, setting her phone in her lap as she untwisted the cap from the bottle and took a generous amount of water into her mouth before swallowing. taking her time, she thought of many clever things to say back but none of them seemed to sound quite right to her.
[ sms ] why is that whenever i am in china we never meet up? [ sms ] it makes me sad that you never contacted me.
with that, sooyeon set her phone on the table and looked blankly ahead at the wall. after leaving the company, she wondered why it was only kris that ended up keeping touch with her and not the others. she thought she could have helped them -- somehow. it was a silly thought, she knew, but as she began to age she became a bit more dotting in her life.
