"... This is not a website I want to contribute value to anymore, so I have deleted my file and image uploads. Not my posts, though. My posts make the website worse..."
The Germans really cooked making "Hobbyless behaviour" an insult. It is both devastating, applicable to a wide range of people and behaviours, and doesn't resort to swearing.
Man ranting on the internet about the Superbowl halftime show or complaining that something is "woke"? Hobbyless Behaviour. Girls mocking another girl for not looking right? Hobbyless Behaviour. Mindless vandalism? Hobbyless Behaviour.
It is more powerful than "get a life" or the English "You're Sad" because it gets to the central point of the matter, and that is wonderful. Danke, Deutsch.

"Only". First off, it may start there, but I bet it won't end there. Also, there are storyboard artists. It's a whole-ass job category, that shouldn't be replaced by AI any more than the others. Ice Pick Joe didn't die for this shit.
People use Ai when they don't value the work being performed. It's clear that Scorsese doesn't see the storyboard artists as valuable contributors to the creative process.

Good to see San Antonioās queer community saying HELL NO to Greg Abbottās absolute fucking loser behavior. Rainbow crosswalks arenāt allowed anymore? Okay, let the LGBTQts take the whole sidewalk then, dickmunch!
every major structural social problem right now is basically "we don't have enough skilled workers on the ground" and the reason is always "well we've been intentionally underpaying and understaffng them for decades to increase corporate profits" and somehow the news always just mentions the "shortage" without digging into the cause
air travel is a mess? shortage of air traffic controllers - for some mysterious reason
logistics a mess? shortage of truck drivers - for some mysterious reason
public transit can't meet demand? shortage of bus drivers - for some mysterious reason
We even mysteriously have shortages of doctors, nurses, teachers... FOR SOME MYSTERIOUS REASON
FUCKING PAY PEOPLE AND HIRE ENOUGH STAFF
Yes and: Make education more affordable and achievable!!
The destruction of public and higher education and the degradation and subjugation of workers has been an active part of conservative policy for more than fifty years.
Related: when conservatives say "no one wants to work anymore", what they mean is "no one wants to give up a substantial portion of the fruits of their labor in order to enrich an idle capital-holding class".

Cyberpop is a retro-futuristic style that first emerged in Japan during the 1990s under the more generic name "cyber fashion" (ćµć¤ćć¼ćć”ćć·ć§ć³). It is characterized by some fantasy, futurism, and a positive aura, as opposed to Cyberpunk and Cybergoth, which are rather negative and dark (post-apocalyptic).
we gotta get back to torrent distribution, i just watched someone eat eight grand in bandwidth charges because they ran a direct-download piracy site with local file hosting through cloudflare. torrents were invented literally for this exact reason
torrents work like this
i have a file or folder on my pc that i want to share with other people. let's call it gayshit.mp3
unfortunately gayshit.mp3 is 750mb and im not paying for discord nitro so i need another way to send it
i put it into qbittorrent and it makes a torrent file. this is essentially a very small file that points to gayshit.mp3 so other computers can find it. kinda like a treasure map
i send this tiny file to my friend, who loads it into qbittorrent. their computer takes a moment to find mine over the vast expanse of cyberspace and then (as long as my pc is running and the file is still where it should be), it gets copied from my hard drive to theirs
this is the cool part: if somebody else loads that tiny file, they can download it from both of us. if i'm offline but my friend is on, the third person can still get it. this also means that if two people have separate halves of the file, they can download the other half from each other. as long as some combination of people have the pieces between them, they can all have the whole thing.
crucially this does not require a server!!! you can just upload the file to a few people and as long as they keep it, it's still accessible. as long as somebody, somewhere is still connected, it's available forever. the only way it goes away is if everybody disconnects from it.
please learn to torrent

Nothing on google in your private documents has been actually private for years now.

"what radicalized you" well in kindergarten they told me to share things and be nice to people.
a talking point i often see when defending the consumption of dark content is that itās a coping mechanism for those with trauma which is very valid and true but i also want to make this abundantly clear: you can like dark content for no reason. you can enjoy fucked up shit in fiction because itās enjoyable and entertaining. trauma is not required as a ticket for entry. enjoy your dark content bc itās fun and sexy and donāt let anyone take that away from you
sometimes the reason is this
reblog if you love to see that shit that was fucking crazy
Thereās also something to be said for allowing yourself to process ideas ahead of time. Figure out how you think and feel about some things that youāll probably (hopefully) never experience.
But to opās point-
Sometimes you just have to rotate the horror spider in your mind.

I just googled this and⦠yes, itās absolutely real.
And there are so many articles and videos and discussions. Like, the scientific community is buzzing about this.
So much research will have to be redone because the data was absolutely compromised, off by orders of magnitude, by using standard lab gloves.
The world is probably not horrifically contaminated by microplastics. Sterile laboratories, however, are contaminated by latex and nitrile gloves.
Thank God someone bothered to check.

Scientists may have been unknowingly inflating microplastics pollution estimates, and the surprising source could be their own lab gloves. A
